Syrim Start-up Problems

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 12:05 am

Greetings.

I downloaded The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim via PC Download from Gamestop.com two weeks ago and I have been unable to start the game. I can get to main menu just fine with all my mods initialized to 100%. I click on New , and then I click Yes to confirm the start of a new game. And then nothing. The mouse is moveable / visible. A black background, the dragonborn emblem, and rolling fog are also visible. I can also hear the Dovahkiin Chant in the background. But nothing else and the scene repeats. The longest I've waited for the game to start is 30 minutes. I cannot load a game because I do not have a saved game to load. However, I can view the credits with no problems.

I recently upgraded my desktop with a new graphics card, I have tried playing the game in offline mode, and I've verified my cache files. All have the same result: nothing.

Below, I will paste a portion of my DxDiag report.

Please help. Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Chris

Disable all mods, first and foremost.

And make sure none of their loose files remain save for their BSA or ESP/ESM.

You should now try and narrow down which mod was causing this problem, if for no other reason than it would be useful for us to know for future reference.
