my take on conjuration

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 6:48 pm

The very best ability in this game is to raise the dead. Whenever I fight someone I really don't like. Before I kill them I tell myself I'm going to raise this dude after I get through with them just for the hell of it. So they can be a weak representation of their former lives. Mindless and under my control, they will fight until they turn to dust. But when I really don't like someone I raise them just for the simple fact that they are pathetic. Then other times after I raise them I kill them twice, but very rarely. Why waste a good minion.

Conjuration is awesome. Personally I like conjuring a flame atronach best. Great way to distract the enemy while I release my balls of fire!

its awesome. I made a dark elf to use destruction and a bound sword. So much good advantage to these bound weapons like soul trap and banish. I'm going for master conjuration into necromancy. Although depending on how points spread I may be using atronachs. Another good advantage to bound weapons is it raises conjuration fast.

And the downside is that bound weapons don't get bonuses from your weapon skills... The perks to raise actual damage don't work with them for some reason so the difference is nearly 5 times at 100 conjuration between my bound sword and my actual sword... The only bound weapon I find to actually be useful is bound bow and that's only because I don't feel like wasting my own arrows to raise archery...

2 storm thralls are more fun for me... They don't have to be recast over and over because they expired... Also it's quite amusing how they distract the enemy and make it so that I'm never noticed while sneaking...

i did not know that I haven't seen anything that makes that official but I have been wondering all the same if one hand perks work or not. I'm still majoring in mage skills all the same with the mage stone until I get say 100 in those areas. It still works to level conjuration and I could always go for a better one hand later if it doesnt work, but want to keep things more of a mage type character.

To be honest I wonder if I would even notice if they didn't lol. I use it more because it looks cool and fits into the role.
