take everything

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 4:36 am

In my holy opinion, I'm finding some similarities between certain developers at Bethesda and a certain race of large, hairy, less intelligent humanoids that tend to reside under bridges and get outsmarted by 3 goats.

I can conclude this, because there can be no other reason to make the "store item" key the same as "take everything" key to containers than to annoy the heck out of any player who've been dungeoning for 2 hours straight, and might not exactly have their brain with them when storing their loot in their house.

I agree, this is really annoying. I once did this and ended up with 1000/300 overencumbered :(

Whatever you do, don't blame this on the consolification of the series, or some xbox owner will call you a pc elitist!

I agree with the OP. It is silly that I need to do a quick save first before opening a chest at home. But I am doing that to avoid cleaning up the earlier mentioned 1000/300 problem.

I tend to save just before opening containers with large numbers of items in them because of this. I think the design was made by the same person or persons that decided not to let you buy items back for the same price you accidentally sold to a vendor because the highlighted item jumped to the the item above it just before you clicked "sell".

There is a number of little things like this that bug me. Like why there isn't the sorting options for containers anymore and what happened to that very nice confirmation screen where you could see all the stuff you were buying or selling with a vendor before purchasing/buying (I know, it was in FO but the concept is genius). And why is there the option to eat things when in a container anyways? Also, why have a button for unlocking shouts? Why not just have the game ask you if you want to unlock the shout the first time you try and equip it?

absolutely, completely, tremendously agree, lol!

edit: they take away the merchant option but add in a needless shout part? lol.

Is this only a problem on PC? I'm on ps3 and this doesn't affect me. Maybe it's the damn "consolisation" of the PC game, lol.
