I don't know about you, but I think the feral ghouls can talk. I mean, just about 4 hours ago I was on New Vegas exploring the south side and came across the Old Nuclear Test Site. I sneak attacked the first few, and went down to take down the rest. About 3 attacked me at once, and I could have sworn I heard one of them yell out "F*** YOU!" in their raspy ghoul voice.

Has anyone had any similar experiences? Do you think ferals can talk? Or am I just crazy? Post it! xD

I do believe that in Vault 34, the terminals you can tell have words typed by a feral imo,

I wish some did talk. They look more like ghouls from the originals rather than just burn victims they use now.

If you turn subtitles on you'll see they do mumble and rasp a few things but they certainly can't form a sentence.

I had one attack me in that doctor's shack on the far western side of the map, Hell's Hotel or summat...You find a dead Ghoul doctor in there...Aaanyways, many ferals around...So there I am walking in there when this lovely rasping "Diiiieeee!!" comes from behind me...Kinda jumped a bit :blink: ...Still, headphones around 4am, what did I expect... :shrug: ... :happy: ...

Feral ghouls can talk but not full conversations or anything, just "broken" words/sentences.
I think they shout DIE! but as for F*** you part of me just says nahhh and i've never heard anything like that

You DO realize the ferals in New Vegas are the ones from Fallout 3 right? I don't know what you're talking about 'looking like the originals' since they arent even reskinned in NV.

The ghouls In 1&2 are basically skin and bones just like the ferals. I'm not talking about textures. I'm saying (imo) the npc ghouls should be using the feral mesh with a moving mouth added to them.

The ones in 1&2 felt like stupid zombies or something. I like the burn victim idea because Ghouls, for the most part, are Pre-War ghouls caught in the blasts.

Trogs in The Pitt will thank you for killing them I believe.

Would have been cool if they gave you something along with that, "Thank you, take this *cough* +50 DT Power Armour for a token of my, my-", and then the cycle just continues on.
