Talos Palace (Dragonborn suggestion)

Post » Wed Nov 07, 2012 1:40 am

I would like to hear your ideas on this

What if Dragonborn included a quest where you find the ruins of Talos Palace and rebuild it ?
His old Palace from before he became emperor, when he was just a Jarl

Here is my vision of the ultimate 'house', feel free to share yours

First, in the Morrowind era, there was a house mod called Asgard, the most lavish and magnificient house mod ever made
It looked like an egyptian temple with a lavish swimming pools surrounded by columns.
A dinning hall of cyclopean size with a giant pantry and cellar area
Lots of bedrooms each equiped with roman style bath (made of stone)

I tink using the nord style pillars and stone slabs, it's possible to build a similar temple-pool-bedroom complex
Add to it a massive underground forge-armory complex with realistic vent system
Finaly a giant central mage towers with any floors
dedicated to alchemy, enchanting and libraies
the complex is surrounded by lavish gardens

Of course you get your own emblem and finaly you personal guards with the uniform you selected.

This become your capital, ready to conquer Tamriel and found the new empire,
right in Talos footsteps

It's a bit like everything in hearthfire done on a bigger scale
And of course we're now a Jarl with all the privileges,
ready to marry elisif and be named high king
take that general tulius and ulfric stormcloack, you guys are just minor factions now :bunny:

I don't recall Hjalti ever being a Jarl, or having a Palace besides White-Gold.

Other problem is that Solstheim has never been conquered. Uriel VII tried to just act like it was, but the locals were having none of it.

Why, Ulfric, duh! (This would of course go for gay male characters as well. Those who sided with the Legion would have to settle for Tullius, though.)

(Btw, if Elisif was elected High Quenn and you married her, it wouldn't make you the reigning High King. You would be the Queen's Prince Consort. Of course, since Elisif is somewhat lacking in the brain department and has proved how easily manipulated she is, you probably would be the one who ruled anyway, at least if you got rid of Falk Firebeard, who's the current gray eminence. This deal wouldn't work out for the ones who married Ulfric, though. The best they could hope for is to be a trusted advisor. He's way too alpha to let anyone manoeuvre him away from the power.)

Elisif isn't lacking in the brain department anymore than Ulfric's a racist. She's a grieving widow, in a game not known for giving its characters any form of evolution (notable exception being Serena).

I'd wear the honorary title of Prince Consort gladly too!

"In Skyrim" I think he's meaning Solestheim. Finding it there, But also i am pretty sure Talos did not rule over Solestheim

Either way i would love to be a Jarl at least,Rebuilding and stuff
