I searched and came up short (sorry )

Been trying to use a couple console commands, example being removeallitems and even on wiki it says "select target with console command and type removeallitems"

How do you select? I've rested my cross hairs on a NPC and it didn't work. I would enter conversation with an NPC and then do the console command and still nothing.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to enter the NPC's name instead of player. and then type removeallitems?

Trying to get the wife in breezehome to wear something different then her miner's gear...

Any help is greatly appreciated.
