Teleporting Dead Dragons?

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 7:19 pm

Seems Dragons are still 'borked' in 1.5.26. Every dragon that attacks will eventually breask off the fight & fly to the nearest animal/NPC and attack them instead. If I want to keep fighting any dragon I have to chase them all over the map which isn't fun at all. At Bonestrewn Crest the dragon broke off attacking me as usual and started attack some mammoths in the valley below. Since i was up on the peak I simply started sniping from above with my bow & killed the dragon. I was starting to head down to the carcass when suddenly the dead dragon teleported to the top of Bonestrewn Crest right in front of me saving me the walk down totally breaking immersion.... Wtf?!!
Note that I'm not running any mods that effect dragon behavior just map, UI, & some hair mods. Please fix this wacky dragon behavior.

If you aren't opposed to running mods, you should check out Deadly Dragons or Deadly Dragons Lite. I'm pretty sure it tweaks AI a little bit to make them focus more on you. Also, it makes them totally badass. Other than that, vanilla dragons still svck, and this may not be fixed by any official upcoming patch.

Vanilla Dragons have always targeted other things nearby ever since release.....just an FYI.

Not like this...I mean they target everything BUT the player....player is last priority, even a mudcrab is a more desireable target to dragons now following the initial attack.
And 1.0 had correct dragon behavior...they just had borked spawns on fast travel & didn't clean up properly. They haven't been the same since the patch that made them fly backwards but now it's to ridiculous porportions.

Wow a mudcrab.....that is def borked. My current character is an assassin so I have kept from doing the main quest to keep from dealing with dragons as I sneak around the world at night as she levels up. I will load my high level warrior and see what happens and stop back later.

Only issue I'm having with dragons is that my spawns are being unusually intelligent.

I've not issues with targeting or anything else. Just them being unusually intelligent.

Not complaining since it makes things more fun and interesting for me, but it does help to have a second opinion. ^^
