tell us when we can expect an ATI fix (address the issue ple

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 1:06 am

I'v owned this game for over a WEEK! and aside from the hundreds of people, HUNDREDS (at least) who have been talking about, and complaining about the compatibility of ati cards with Brink, WHEN WILL SPLASH DAMAGE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE? ANYONE? TELL US SOMETHING? It's getting out of hand. Iv been reading these forums since I got the game, the top post "an update for brink" or whatever, doesn't tell me crap. No matter how many times I re-read it. Someone should really tell us something, like maybe, apologize? or like tell us that you're WORKING on it? cause [censored] like this will ruin a company, this is NOT and I repeat NOT acceptable by any means. You're a GAME DEV. WERE THE COMMUNITY. GET YOUR [censored] TOGETHER.

Ps: and like MOST people, the 11.5a hot fix lowered my windows graphical experience, and made the game unplayable. And lets be honest, I play OTHER games on my rig, it seems thoroughly narrow minded to give me a solution for ONE game, that could DRASTICALLY change my gaming experience for my other games.

It's gotten out of hand. please help us out. We're the community.

the life: did you http://www.fragworld.org/frag/brink/brink-pc-tweak-guide.html yet? by deactivating shadows you should get a decent framerate. i guess you did all of these, cause your thread sounds desperate.
anyway, you're right: it's the only game that causes performance problems - gotta run it @ 50 FPS, while BFBC2 runs with 100 fps+...

Yeah combat, I have tried all of those things, and then some. I appreciate the suggestions, but it's true, this is desperate, in the real world, if you buy a busted ass product, you take it back, for a working one..And I'm not looking for vague answers here. This is the kind of situation where you give me my money back (BETH, SD) or fix it, you know?
And I guess the most agonizing thing about ALL of this is: There is no "status" on the update, no word? do we svck it up? did we waste our money? is this a scam? As devs it should be your first priority to make the game damn well playable, I love how the last update on the issues people were having on brink was MAY 13th! 6 days ago
6 days with NO WORD

Honestly, what the [censored] are you doing? you're priorities are [censored].

When the 10 friends I told not to buy the game cause of compatibility issues tell their 10 friends, and then those friends tell their friends. I'm not saying I have any impact, but people still buy games that may not be "amazing" (completely regardless of how well brink was rated) people DON'T buy games that don't work.

If you ask me, there is no fix, they are happy with the money they got from us, and they are not bothering themselves fixing anything.

Another worldwide scam like black ops, Congratulation Splash Damage.

Just because they didn't continue to announce "we're working on it" doesn't mean they're out spending all that Brink money on strippers or something.

THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY :)
I hear you man, Priorities as in a compatibility patch (like this) before fixing minimal problems for people who can actually play the game, and a little more notice, a lot of us felt left in the dust. That said, I'm very happy about this patch, and I hope it does what it says!
I'm just another guy who REALLY wants to play brink :)

they have announced a new pc patch early next week. im happy with that. should fix sound bug and get better performance from gfx cards

anyone with tech skills can get decent fps using the config utility. it really helped me get a steady 60+ fps on my flashed 6950 (running as a 6970).

if you use the config you need to not adjust the in-game video settings. it seems to mess things up again. shadows seem to be the most problematic.

i dont think less than 2 weeks is that bad. bc2 was a disgrace when it came out on pc, and the latest cod still isnt working well. all pc games seem to have issues on release due to the vast nature of drivers and h/w specs. if we moan too much many devs will just [censored] off the PC as a platform and move to consoles and that will effectively kill off fps games as we know them

the fact that some ati people get decent fps and others dont suggests some driver issues along with maybe some dodgy code. im not sure its 100% SD's fault to be honest. hell, it could even be a 32/64 bit OS issue.
