Textures show in Creation Kit, and in Game. But not in Nifsk

The problem I am encountering is that the helmets I am working on will show a texture in game or in the Creation Kit provided I get the settings right, but once in game. The textures are one colored or flat. I recently redid a helmet for a friend containing a troll skull. The troll skull had its vanilla texture applied afterwards but only a bone colored pale yellow ended up coloring the piece.

Since the textures are not showing up in Nifskope, thats my first concern. What could have gone wrong or be missing for this to happen?

These helmets are custom but some use vanilla parts. And they all have the same problem. I use Blender 2.49B for exporting to Nifskope as well as doing the weighing.
I also have 3DS max but without plugins. Could anyone help me out here?

Do you think that there are maybe texture "markers" saved in the vanilla files that I do not have after they go through blender?


PLEASE HELP.

Not sure if this belongs in CK or Mods forum, since it could be either a CK or Nifskope issue, but hope you find your answer. :)

I've notice the opposite about textures and sometimes it won't show in-game for a short time when I fight a dragon, so perhaps you're right Princess it's probably an issue of either tools.
