So everyone knows that becoming Thane of a town is supposed to have perks, right? At least that what the Jarl says. I ain't no common rabble anymore.
Well how come the guards and other NPCs still talk smack to me?
Oh, sure, I hear an occasional 'I heard about what you did...etc' but for the most part they still say garbage like how I shouldn't pick locks and they are watching me, etc. I'm not even a thief!
Wouldn't it be more RPGish if I was Thane and I could round up some of the guards and take out the bandit camps around the area? What about people's responses changing in the town where I'm Thane and giving me the r-e-s-p-e-c-t I earned and derserve???
What do you guys think? Has this crossed your mind too?

Try to pick a lock and get caught. Just tell the guard who you are, and they will let you go. Same goes for fighting.

From what I can tell you're only able to use the "I'm the Thane, gtfo" line once in each city.

Kinda wack.. but if you could just do anything and tell them "I AM THANE" and get away with it - it wouldn't be very balanced.
