A thank you from PS3 gamer

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 12:07 pm

Dear Bethesda Team,

I want to pass my thanks to your team for making this remarkable game. I have already spent tens of hours (no longer counting) and I still enjoy playing Skyrim (Expert difficulty). Yes I do have some glitches on my PS3 version, the textures could be more sharp, shadows less blocky. I have encountered some bugs and framedrops. Nevertheless these have not ruined my experience. It is so much better comparing to Oblivion and many many PS3 games. Moreover the antialiasing does really great job - almost no jaggies! Please post sometime some article revealing some of the technology used in Skyrim.

Altogether I wanted to pass some kind words to you, as I see so much hatred from so-called PS3 gamers, that make me wonder how many of them think independently rather than just following some blogs telling what to believe and what to do (how to return and refund the game they even haven't tried).

Once again thanks,
Adam

The lack of punctuation, it's too much.

I've had very few problems but I'd be lying if I said I didn't shudder every time I see my save game size grow.

Hah, I was expecting such response. I do not work for Bethesda, I am no anonymous, I live Poland (Eastern EU) and I am freelancer working on my own (see my website in the profile).

But whatever floats your boat man.

My experience on my PS3 has been good too. I'm back on my PC game now but I'll get back to the PS3. The only problem I had, after all the horror stories here made me scared, was that backwards-flying dragon at Bonestrewn Crest. I ended up ignoring him and moving on to the rest of the world. I'll get back to him later after a patch fixes him. I didn't have crashing or freezes and there was no lag; I run into that lag on PC though and clear it up by reloading. I played to Level 14 on PS3 so my filesize hadn't reached a huge size yet. They're working on the problem of save filesize and have offered some tips that have helped people. Not everyone is having a problem so it should be an issue they can address as they investigate it. I love my PS3 and I hope everyone's game is fixed soon so they can get happy again. :)

I think this is the pivotal factor about all the ps3 complaints! I have had no major issues with Skyrim on PS3 (my playstation has YLODed twice lol - but that's not down to the game...)

No, but you can try.
