Sometimes it's hard to give thanks, when it should have come in the first place. There was no reason why they needed to release the game on 11/11/11, so they could have pushed it back like they did with Morrowind to have made it better apon release.

That being said, thanks for keeping up the work and improving the game more than just patches. I love Skyrim. Looking forward to some awsome DLC now.

Yes !!! Thank You !!!

I've enjoyed the game since day one, minor problems only.
1.5 fixed the problems that I had, and the Underwater is Great...
Last night I was sitting in pond / pool of water and was watching the salmon swim by : ) in Lost Knife Cave.
I also like the Archery kill cams.

Keep up the good work Skyrim Team

I'm stuck between celebrating the fixed Smithing and lamenting over the striped shadows.
Eh, this is a happy thread!
Balanced Smithing for everybody! :celebration:

Good job, but I think some of these issues should have been addressed before release. However I am grateful to you for keeping up the patching. Please just don't leave the other thousands of bugs to be done by modders like Oblivion! :P

-Bring back journal
-Acrobatics/Mystsicm
-Diverse weapons back please
-UI

My pointers for a next elder scrolls :)

A game is never truly done developing. You have to plan what will be in the game and set a reasonable launch date. 11/11/11 was that date, and when released the game worked just fine (for me). Naturally many people ran into tons of bugs.

With games as big as Skyrim you can't really test for all the bugs, there are just too many variables to find them all. I don't think this game was rushed out of the door, it definatly seems they took their time developing it. And they've been constantly supporting the game with patches, without trying to cash in right away with day 1 DLC. Even now, months after release they still haven't even announced the first DLC!

Compare that to Bioware, they released ME3 with paid day 1 DLC. Then as it turns out the game is filled with bugs, many people who import an ME1 character can't even properly import the face. This is a bug that undoubtly had to have shown up during bugtesting, it happens to 80% of the ME1 players and is right at the start of the game! There is a notable difference in quality here.

How could they? They've been taking that time and working on releasing patches to make sure the base game works properly

I haven't tried 1.5 yet, but I support the sentiment.

As sad as it might be, that is more than most developers do. Most will try to fix the patches but in the mean time they have 2 or 3 DLC packs in the pipeline with a couple already released before the game hit stores. So Bethesda actively working on patches and taking their time with DLC (collecting feedback) IMO shows they care about their fans and their games.

I'm still one who thinks Skyrim is a step down from previous installments, there is just too little guild content to keep me interested, but I do give praise where praise is due.
