Sometimes it's hard to give thanks, when it should have come in the first place. There was no reason why they needed to release the game on 11/11/11, so they could have pushed it back like they did with Morrowind to have made it better apon release.
That being said, thanks for keeping up the work and improving the game more than just patches. I love Skyrim. Looking forward to some awsome DLC now.
A game is never truly done developing. You have to plan what will be in the game and set a reasonable launch date. 11/11/11 was that date, and when released the game worked just fine (for me). Naturally many people ran into tons of bugs.
With games as big as Skyrim you can't really test for all the bugs, there are just too many variables to find them all. I don't think this game was rushed out of the door, it definatly seems they took their time developing it. And they've been constantly supporting the game with patches, without trying to cash in right away with day 1 DLC. Even now, months after release they still haven't even announced the first DLC!
Compare that to Bioware, they released ME3 with paid day 1 DLC. Then as it turns out the game is filled with bugs, many people who import an ME1 character can't even properly import the face. This is a bug that undoubtly had to have shown up during bugtesting, it happens to 80% of the ME1 players and is right at the start of the game! There is a notable difference in quality here.
