Do that stats do the same things they did in Fallout 3?

Is Charisma still completely worthless?

Is intelligence still your top priority to max as soon as possible due to the skill point bonus it gives you each level?

And so on?

With the abundance of skillbooks in fo3 you only needed 4 INT to max your skills.

It's pretty much the same. The details may be a bit different, but if you build a basic, middle of the road character, you won't go too far wrong. (In my (never) humble opinion)

Weapons have strength requirements in this game. Are you a fan of larger weapons?

Even guns have strength requirements? Dang.

The largest weapon I would be using in New Vegas is probably a sniper rifle or something like that.. what kind of strength do I need for that?

I'm basically going for a stealthy small arms user(I will only ever use normal guns I'm pretty sure.. lasers aren't really my thing.. maybe near the end of the game)

Damn I totally forget what my stats were in fallout 3.. can any of you tell me what my starting stats should be if I want a stealthy shooter/sniper type of character? I already know charisma is useless.. but like.. are there bobbleheads in this one again? If I want max skill points, where should I start my intelligence off at? How do I find the intelligence bobblehead as soon as possible..?

Bah.. I hated having to make a "throwaway" character in FO3 as my first dude.. it's just so hard to make a half decent character the first time you play the game

A strength of 6 should work for sniper rifles., but I'm not entirely sure on that.

Books only give temporary boosts, but bobbleheads are not around at all.

Oh wow damn you serious?

So basically, the stats I choose at the beginning of the game are 100% permanent and can not be increased?

Well, not entirely permanent, but I wouldn't plan on upping them much. It will be a while before implants are an option for a new character, and they aren't for everybody. Intense Training is back as a perk, but you only get a perk every other level now, so you just have 15 possible perks. Most people wouldn't want to eat into that by taking more than one or two ranks of Intense Training, if that.
