Does anyone know where the dragon fight in this trailer takes place? Location on map?

I've always wanted to go there and pretend I'm in the trailer lol

I was wondering a few days ago if anyone had found that area yet.

I've looked at it quite closely and it looks like it's somewhere around Falkreath or Helgen, it's gotta be somewhere in that area...

I have been wondering this too and have been putting off making a thread about it for a while, so thank you for making it. Looking at it I think it is most likely on the back end of bleak falls barrow that is my best guess

Looking at it, if it exists, I'm not so sure it's Falkreath or Helgen. Given the expanse of snow, I'd say look for a forested area between Morthal and Dawnstar.

Towards the end of the movie, it pans from the fight around the corner and shows Bleak Falls Barrow in the background. That would put the fight on top of the mountain to the east of Bleak Falls Barrow.

I have to go and check it out ...

It was probably done in a few different areas. The area is mountainous, surrounded by a snowy forest, if you look closely there's a small village in the distance, and of course there's the big ruin that's probably Bleak Falls. The area around Bleak Falls isn't very snowy, nor is it that densely forested, and there's not enough flat space on any of the nearby mountains for that fight to have taken place. It doesn't seem like there's any one place in game that has all of these features, really.

The ruin at 2:13 in the video certainly looks like Bleak Falls (See screenshot below), however, the mountain part where the fight takes place before the camera pans around the corner is *not* in the game. I had to tcl my way up into the air pretty high to get the screenshot.

That is definately where it looks like I thought it would have taken place from my first look at the video so it must have been created for the video, the area was taken out prerelease, or there is another Borrow out there that looks similar but that mountain in the background of the video does look like High Hothgard.

You can see a big lake just behind the unsheathing weapon dovahkiin when the dragon is about to land, possibly the Rift lake due to its extension but theres also a peculiar island - the design of the island pushes me towards the Ivarstead lake - particurarly I believe we're talking about some area between Falkreath and Helgen(once the dovahkiin shouts at the dragon, the force shout flies away and you can clearly see the High Hrothgar stands as the tallest mountain of the area) with a smaller mountain on its right side(view from the shout animation) that could possibly be the mountain of North Skybound Watch)... and opaAndy has the correct screenshot of the area... my guess is that this plateau was taken out, just like Zombified states, since I don't recall any great plateau like the one shown during the fight that a dragon could land. I too believe the video was taken from several areas, like 4ghzToaster mentioned.

It's on the west side of the mountain on which Bleak Falls Barrow is located. At the end where the camera trails off into the vista the ruins on the left (from which the second dragon takes off) are Bleak Falls Barrow and the mountain on the right is the Throat of the World. The lake mentioned is the one to the south that has the Lady Stone in the middle.
They may have temporarily crafted a plateau into the cliff for the purposes of making the video.
Also I got ninja'd

Excatly. This is an area with no roads and few remarkable locations (only the ruins linked to Azura's quest). Hence whay people are unfamiliar with it.

I'm guessing it was an area created just for the trailer (just like the oh-sh!t-hands you see when he stops before the cliff edge). You know, for cinematic purposes and all that. It may even have not existed at all in the Skyrim landmass and was seperate.

Whatever happened to it I wish they had kept it in. It looks great and I love that cliff.

Check out the part where it flies past the Windmill in Solitude. In the game the door is facing Solitude, here it is pointed away from it. And I don't think the dragon shout they use in the battle is in the game.

I have once set out to the place where it dies and it is rather easy to find if you just travel along the mountainside from bleak falls barrow, I was hoping for a small easter egg of sorts like an iron helmet but there is nothing.

If you pause at 1:10 right when he shouts, you can see a bridge or something, possibly Helgen or some other town?

I just looked at a map right now and I think it may be somewhere near the North Brittleshin Pass entrance but I have no idea how you would get up to the top of the mountain there.
