if the aldmeri dominion go to war (again) with the empire cause i belive th side they pick would be a war decisive decision also they were strong enough to take on the dunmer causing the dunmer to retreat into the dominion.
also do the argnians worship any god EX: the orcs worship malacath.

Argonians are led by the Hist and the An-Xileel and as they are both relatively unknown motive-wise, although the An-Xileel is pretty anti-Empire... It could be they side with the Dominion unless the Hist see the Thalmor for what they are.

However considering it's due to the Hists foresight that the Argonians slaughtered the Daedra and forced Dagon to close his own gates during the Oblivion Crisis, the Argonian Empire is the dark horse in any conflict.

I think the Hist are all they worship at a national level. Even reverence of Sithis for Argonians born under the Shadow seems to have ended according to the Argonian in the DB, who says he's the last of his order. Some individual Argonians may worship Daedra or Aedra, but I think the majority follow just the Hist.

You're probably right, who they choose to ally with will be important in the future. Hopefully the Hist aren't keen on unmaking the world like the Thalmor are.

The Hist revere Sithis and still do as far as we know, I believe the Shadowscales as an order are at an end (combination of DB being virtually wiped out and Argonian cutting down international ties)

The Hist themselves worship Sithis you say? I was thinking of the end of the Shadowscales possibly meaning the end of organized Sithis reverence from most Argonians, but in that case they'd still serve Sithis indirectly.

Not sure about worship, but they acknowledge Sithis.

Let's see if they sell out like the Khajiit.

As for an Argonian empire, they are only good at fighting on their homeland (and a weak deavastated Morrowind). They'd be butchered in other provinces, especially Hammerfell.

Any evidence to back up your claim?

Why else would they be content to stay in Black Marsh?

It has everything they need. It's the only place they can be truely safe and able to thrive.

Besides, there's the speculation that they need the marshes to breed.

I'm under the impression that the denizens of Black Marsh (mainly the An-Xileel) don't care too much about what goes on outside the swamps. The exception being the weakened Dunmer, but that was a result of the encroachment of the Dunmer into Black Marsh. It sounded like the An-Xileel didn't care for fellow Argonians who had a bit of outside-Black-Marsh in them either, since they didn't care about saving any of the "assimilated" in the events of the Infernal City. Ergo I feel that the current Argonians are quite isolationist, as long as no one threatens their homeland and the Hist. But if the Hist feels threatened they may become a force to be reckoned with, no doubt.

I was talking about the Argonians being butchered in other provinces due to not being their environment., I'm pretty sure the Deadlands are as uninhabitable any ecosystem can be and still the Argonians completely massacred the Daedra.

The Argonians stay in Black Marsh due to the Hist more likely than not, if the Hist told them to attack the Empire I'm pretty sure it'd happen.

They weren't trying to make an Empire in there.

They strike quick and fast, but don't seem to hold the territory.

They'd svck at occupying Hammerfell.

Exactly, the Argonians are isolationists.

They don't care about making an empire.

They want their marsh and that's it.

The Thalmor are going to possibly attack them and get stomped.

When were we talking about the Argonians trying to extend their Empire? OP was asking which side would the nation side with when the Second Great War kicks off and not whether the Argonians could occupy Hammerfell

Oh, I don't think the Hist would care.

Argonians would simply be a neutral party that would attack any that threaten their borders.

Unless the Hist saw the Thalmor as the genocidal racists with the intent to destroy Mundus.
