The armor you never used

Hide and Fur armor. What is their point ?

You want light armor at the beginning of the game ? Just buy leather from Alvor and make your own Leather Armor set in Riverwood, it's even superior to those two sets.

I use hide when making enchanted fortify smithing armor as it weighs 1 less than leather at 5 vs 6. I don't use dragon heavy armor... ugly. I've never used orchish... only dwarven, ebony, and daedric. .... and steel looks good too.

TBH I just use what ever armour weighs the lest and I like the look of as Every type of armour can hit armour cap.

The armour I cant really see myself using are Dragonplate and Daedric.

Hide and fur armor serve logic and verisimilitude.

Not every henchman and bandit can afford steel and such. For the same reason bank robbers and car jackers wear hoodies instead of bullet-proof vests.

It's one of those things that's ment to be useful to the reality of the game, not the player. Like food.

Well I wear Fur armor. Infact I loot it every time I possibly can just so I can have enough sets for enchanting.

This, everybody complained at the bandits in glass in Oblivion.
It's cheaper, lighter and more comfortable than full plate so it's useful for npc who want some protections against wolfs and bandits even if they can afford better

I put on fur armor when I go into the mountains or when it's snowy out or it just seems colder than usual. It's not always about using the stuff with the best stats all the time. :P

I use studded, fur and hide because it fits my character. Level 79 and I see no need to use something simply for stats.

Dragonbone heavy armor....It is the #1 MOST useless armor in the game. It's higher tiered in the smithing tree, yet it offers less protection than Daedric armor? I understand dragonscale light armor is pretty good, but why would I go from Daedric to Dragonbone? Makes NO sense whatsoever...

And it's fugly. :P

Studded,Hide, Fur armor. Several variations of either and there's never any benefit to wear them past Riverwood other than looks. Real shame.
But Scaled Horned takes the cake, it's an upgraded variation of scale armor that you can't upgrade, imagine that...

Dragonbone/scales are easier to find then Ebony ore AND Daedra Hearts

Dragon plate is lighter for those without heavy armor perks - the armor segment alone weighs 10 pounds less than that of the Daedric.

Furthermore, though Daedric has the higher base armour, Dragon plate has a slightly higher value once both armours are upgraded to legendary. The Daedric gauntlets and boots still out to their Dragon counterparts, the extra armour rating provided by the armour segment, shield, and helmet give the Dragon armour a slight edge over Daedric armour.

I never wear scaled. Too darn fugly. Plus corundum is actually not very common.
Can't wait to mod Plate out of the light armor tree, wtf?

Its glass armor for me. Always use light armor. The heavy armor just looks like fallout 3 power armor to me.

Nocturnal's Robes. It's the best looking female robe but not having an inventory icon is hard.

Anything besides nightingale.... which yes, I console "cheat" for my toons when they get to approximately that level (because I won't do that quest line....) I really dislike the rest of the armor in this game. Dragonscale is just "okay".... I'm really looking forward to what modders come up with eventually. Besides the naked babes of course *sigh*.

male version of ancient nordic armor.

It looks weird.

The female version though, I upgraded and gave to my loving wife Mjoll. And sometimes I just like to stare at it. Creepy? Maybe.
