First of all, I want to apologize if this turns out to be the wrong place for this question but I couldn’t find a board that is reserved for problems with the website.

Now to the issue I encountered: For some reason I can’t seem to post images. Is this forbidden altogether? I could not find such a rule in the guidelines and I’ve seen some users doing it so I assume it’s a fault on my part. How do I use these tags correctly? Embracing a link in the respective tags does not seem to work for me (regardless of the format). To demonstrate what I am talking about:

Also, then why the heck is this button available in the first place? Can’t you remove it?

It's not unusual for a forum to allow embedded pictures and/or videos. Bethesda just doesn't want to deal with the liability, being a 13+ forum.

You'd have to ask Gstaff, but it's probably easier to simply disable certain bbcodes then to restructure the interface. (in other words, either IT laziness or a limitation with the customizability of the forum software) My understanding is that there was some serious abuse of embedded pictures back in the far days of yore, and the current setup was imposed in order to prevent further incursions.
