The Best Game You've Played

In 11 days it'll probably be Skyrim but right now I would say Oblivion. Even with it's flaws I love the game.

If you liked Morrowind, you should play The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Haha, I dont know if thats sarcasm but I have, about 1000 hours worth, the only reason it ranks below Morrowind for me is I really hate the level scaling, and that I think they could of done something a lot more interesting with Imperial culture. The generic medieval fantasy land is something I would expect from High Rock not Cyrodiil. I'm really excited for Skyrim and it could compete for the title against Morrowind if it lives up to what Bethesda has been saying.

Halo: Combat Evolved

My dad got it and I couldn't play it, so I always snuck down at night to play it.

Level scaling isn't that bad. It's not as bad as requiring Steamworks to play Skyrim.

Please just stop trying to raise your post count and earn them stars. Lots of your posts could be considered troll worthy and or flame-bait and some threads you've created( this one especially) seem particularly pointless considering there are 3 other threads just like it on the 1st page alone.

No, not really. Stop trying to earn YOUR stars by calling me a troll, which is definitely against the rules, if you've even read them. There are not three other threads just like this one. This thread is completely different from the others. So, please, stop.

:trophy: MAG(Massive Action Game) has got to be it, though it lacks a deep story and unique gameplay, it is the only online exlusive fps I know of where you can have 256 player battles.(128 players on each side)

Ocarina of Time, that game basically made me a gamer. Epic, epic game.

Second to that would probably be Diablo II.

I use steam quite a bit so I don't really mind as long as it doesn't interfere with mods in some way.

World of Warcraft.

Played since late classic. I've spent tons of time in that game, but recently quit for good. (Won't be playing it again, I made sure of that.) The game took a few too many wrong turns, and it seems the devs are milking it for most money vs least amount of content needed.

Sad to see the game become the [censored] it is today, but I sure did love it and have a lot of great times with it through the past 6 years.

The Thief games, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 and all the Beth games for their incredible freedom of choice.

I'd buy the Steam version of Oblivion if it fixed level scaling.

I know this may come as a surprise, but..Final Fantasy IX

Not at all. It is the best of the PS1 ones, and better than the PS2 and PS3 ones combined. Well, except XII :hehe:

I use steam quite a bit so I don't really mind as long as it doesn't interfere with mods in some way.

It won't. I have all Bethesda's games on Steam and every mod works with them. Including the Script Extenders and LAA patches.

There's lots I've absolutely loved.

From old to new:
- Knights and Merchants, game from 1998 that no one knows, but it's still amazing.
- Morrowind.
- World of Warcraft (until WotLK)
- Battlefield 2
- Oblivion

Then after Oblivion I played very little besides WoW. Skyrim will likely be next on that list.

Well apparently a lot of people there like it.

Dear God, someone has a DUN DUN DUUUN different opinion to someone else on the Internet. Amyways, probably Morrowind, though Heroes 3 and Medieval 2: Total War all come pretty close.

The best game would probably be The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, but heavily modded. Without mods, Morrowind was the best TES game by far, in my opinion. I'm also quite fond of Medieval II: Total War with Stainless Steel mod. It's hard to pin down the greatest game I've played as the newest one always seems to take the place of its predecessor. I can say, without a doubt, that the most enjoyable game I play, or have ever played, is a tabletop RPG. Dungeons & Dragons for the win.
