The Best part of Dawnguard..

Are the little set pieces for big battles. Arcwind point, the lake with the two dragons, end boss, as well as the first temple where you find Serana. Seems to me that Bethesda has improved creating cool "atmospheres" for battles more than anything. Especially the lake dragons.. That almost didn't feel like Skyrim.. It's so open up. I played it in the 3rd person actually, with my camera zoomed all the way out.

For some reason, it reminded me of the dragon from the PSO: Ep2. I can't quite place it.

Not 100% sure but should this belong in spoilers?

I will agree with you though. There are some amazing things they did with this dlc and I can't wait to make a new character and go explore it all over again.

No the OP is giving his opinion he isn't spoiling it oh wait yeah he is my fault

while this is a matter of debate these words below are consider spoilers OP even IF you haven't given the name of the temple you given away the first mission of Dawnguard and who is inside of said temple:

(first temple where you find Serana)

Arcwind Point was in the vanilla game, Dawnguard only added a word wall for Drain Vitality.

While Soul Cairn and Forgotten Vale were beautiful, Serana (at least during the Dawnguard quest) had more personality than some RL people I know, the Dawnguard and Vampire armours looked great (I'm using Dawnguard Heavy Armour from now on until I find something which looks nicer), blotting out the sun creates a nice atmospheric effect and Arvak is my horse of choice, my favourite part of Dawnguard had to be Jiub. Not only do you meet him again after you parted ways with him when playing the Nerevarine (you hear him mentioned casually in Oblivion but never get to meet him), you get a nice journal which details his lifework and a very nice Amulet whose weight enchantment is better than anything in the game (or which you can enchant without exploits). I felt rather sad leaving him where he was, but at least he seemed happy. I just want to someday go back and get volume 2 of his memoirs. Maybe each expansion from now can have us return to collect stuff for him and get yet another chapter of his memoirs....
