The Boomers.. Help?

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 4:34 am

So, I need to speak with the Boomers due to a quest I'm sure many are already familiar with.. and I don't see how in the world I'm supposed to use a bunch of blown up buildings for cover when they just shoot them behind me and kill me regardless.

Are you just supposed to pack a sh*tload of stimpacks, etc. with you to survive or is there something that's not clicking with me?

As you enter the area where the artillery hits, stick very close to the rocks on your left. Basically HUG the rock wall. It will eventually lead you to the Nellis AFB fence line. The artillery will stop by this point. Run along the fence to the Nellis gate.

Some med-x before could help too. Be ready to use some stimpaks in a hurry too. Be 100% health or damn close. Lke others said, hug that wall and RUN!

I was totally unprepared for this bombardment, but I made it through on my first run just wearing clothes that increased my agility, try that! Maybe you could even use a stealth boy, but I dont know if that will trick them or not.

Stealthboy definately doesnt work.. my corpse attests to that..

I advanced from house to house when they were reloading.. and hid in a corner or a covered area when they were firing.. took me a few deaths to figure that out..

I was playing in hardcoe mode and so stimpacks wouldn't save me slow health regen, and more importantly broken limbs. Anyways the solution is to move from house to house that have some of the roofs or 2nd floor still there. They will protect you while you wait for them artillery to reload.
