blocking with a 2h weapon is exactly the same as blocking with a 1h weapons and NO shield? I have blazed a trail through the wikis looking for the answer to this and have found nothing. Anybody tried it? Perks and bonuses apply the same way?

My assassin should be ballin at swordplay for cuttin down enemies after he's been discovered, so i use a sword and open left hand so i can parry. considering investing in the block perks but only if 1h shield-less blocking gets the same bonuses as 2h blocking

Shield wall, Quick reflexes, Power Bash, Deadly Bash, and Disarming Bash are the perks that affect block with weapons

pd shields block in general better than weapons

Not exactly. There are different perks, and some different tactics, but blocking is effective with weapons.

Anyone know if any of the perks work with a torch.
