The character on the front cover. : Fallout: New Vegas

Don't know if there's a topic about him anywhere else but,

I was wondering if there was any info about him, and whether you can get that armour and revolver.

You can get the armor and the revolver. Both have been confirmed and both have been seen in videos. The armor looks pretty nice.

We've been told you'll meet the guy wearing the stuff "eventually."

Yes, you can get both the armor and the revolver, the revolver is a .357, the first revolver you can get, and the armor is Hermes armor.

The character is just a generic NCR ranger, just like the guy from FO3 was a generic CWBOS guy, the guy from FO:T was a generic MWBOS guy, the guy from FO2 was a generic Enclave guy, and the guy from FO1 was a generic BOS/Pre-war soldier (likely the former).

For those of you that have been to Newgrounds, and that know of the "Madness" flash series, think about this:New Vegas is in Nevada; Madness takes place "somewhere in Nevada". What is Hank wearing by Madness 5? A trench coat with a headband, face mask, and red glasses. I wouldnt say that its unlikely that this guy was inspired by Hank XD

It seems most likely this guy was inspired by http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Tycho a Desert Ranger from Fallout.

I'm pretty sure we'll meet a named desert ranger and he'll have that armor, but i'm also pretty sure that there will be random unnamed desert rangers as well.

-He's prolly the one guarding the New Vegas Gate.
