The Chemical Triad of Epic Might

Slasher

Turbo

Hydra

Help the Great Khans and you get a Turbo recipe. Science and Survival needed at around 30 minimum + booster magazines and mentats, night person, labcoat, etc.

My Tribal uses her alchemy to invoke the invincible Spirit of Conquest. It's seriously amazing. She's melee focus and can't be stopped, low INT of 2 but wow she makes up for it. Night person is a great perk for a this, transforming the sun-blinded dunderhead into a crafty huntress with neurons and muscle tissues jacked on crazy custom designer drugs. She'll live to be 30, tops, but for now she's Raider WarQueen of the Mojave.

Survival Skill is fantastic if you are a patient collector like myself. I'm now at level 17 and have an ingredient stockpile and reletive skill magazines. Really fun and satisfying way to play imo. I recommend it. I didn't even get into how good poisons can be. just wow.

What do these drugs do specifically I haven't run into them yet. Your character sounds awesome BTW.

Slasher is a perfect mix of Psycho and Med-x. It gives you +25% damage and damage resistance.

Turbo is a temporary slow motion effect, if I'm not mistaken.

And Hydra heals broken limbs. Like an addictive doctor's bag.

I've never actually thought of making a chem reliant character before.. It seems like a lot of hastle when I think about it, but it does sound pretty cool. You do get some crazy effects from chems in this game.

These drugs, in my character's version of their use, are rubbed into her skin and trigger effects based on stress and fatigue in her body. This is how I explain her going TURBO when a swarm of Cazadores ambush her, or go Slasher style vs Deathclaws. ^^

Her name is Bwasala, sole survivor of the Tribal Village massacre. She once was a Fiend, but now a Great Khan. She's black with a Rude Ridge lol, she wears Sadist Armor, sometimes a Great Khan Horned Helmet or Fire Hat, and wields Knock Knock, a hatchet, Chance's Knife and throwing Spears if I could ever find them *frown*

Yes, she's awesome.

Go murder some Caesar Legion people, they always carry throwing spears.
I have 56 throwing spears I don't even want.

I'd totally take them from you if I could.

I intend to side with Ceasar with this character, actually. She is somewhat simple and bloodthirsty so she;s perfect for this. My outlaw was just not into them, as hard as I tried to make her be. She met Veronica snd ....well...totally changed her views on everything. Total BOS fan now. lol.

But perhaps Bwasala can PICKPOCKET these spears from Legion? Her sneak is very high. Do they often carry them? This is exciting news.

Your character sounds like 3/4 of the population of my hometown

My character is addicted to Med-X and willing to kill for as much Nuka Cola as possible

You....are addicted to Nuka Cola?

XD

I'm thinking of getting the Chemist perk. Hmm. would it be kind of a waste? I carry plenty of Fixer with me...so maybe I should pass. I will prolly pass on Adamantium Skeleton now as well, since my Hydra stock is increasing more than my need to use them.

They don't all carry them, maybe like one in four. But if you do find an NPC carrying them they usually carry around about five of them. You can also buy them from the quartermaster in the Hoover Dam.

I find it a bit annoying that NCR oriented characters are the ones that have the easiest access to spears, pretty much the only access really. It makes much more sense to be using them as a Legion character because.. it just does lol.

Threads like this make me wonder how anyone could call New Vegas a re-skinned Fallout 3. I guess people aren't seeing how much the subtle changes can affect gameplay in big ways.

I'm going to assume you also took or are planning on taking the chem based perks? I thought about making a chem reliant character playing through on hardcoe at very hard difficulty.

Yup. Allows me to wear Sadist Armor and fight Deathclaws with a hatchet. Pretty damn fun. Hotkey a decent Hydra supply and you have an improved Adamantium Skeleton perk....so now I'll probably take that Chemist perk to increase drug duration.

Thanks for the NCR tip! It's lame that I'd have to buy spears from Hoover Dam....where I am seen as a random Raider.....but I guess I can just PRETEND I made the spears myself, and just fast travel to buy them and pretend it didnt't happen. lol

BTW does anyone know if Endurance affects how long you can breathe underwater? If not it should. My END is 9 and I feel that there MIGHT be a difference from my previous lower END character.

In all honesty I think that Slasher and Psycho SHOULD NOT stack. It's too much. This makes perks like Purifyer pretty much overkill.
