ES VI: The Cold War

Before anyone replies "There's already an 'official next ES thread', I read a few posts and people are mostly talking about features from what I skimmed. I was thinking more about the story with this idea.

The next ES game takes place in High Rock.

I'm thinking that the next elder scrolls takes place maybe 10-20 years later, and the imperial and stormcloak forces have fought a long, bitter war, and both cyrodiil and skyrim have been splintered into several factions, with each claiming to be king and wanting to reunite the empire. Skyrim would basically be split in two, not unlike not, but would be more divided. Cyrodiil would also be split into several seperate kingdoms. The Thalmor are eating it up and are basically working to now pick off each seperate province one by one.

Now during the Skyrim civil war, the Bretons in High Rock decided to make a shrewd political move and align themselves with the Orcs in Orsinium as well as to get the orcs spread throughout skyrim to reconsolidate west and to help the Bretons reclaim the Reach. As part of the agreement, the southern half as the reach, as well as a chunk of Hammerfell, are overrun and taken over by the orcs and an official Orsinium province would arise. The reach would be a part of the next ES game, but in a much different form: Markarth would be a mess, many of the dwarven structures destroyed, replaced by cheaply built shacks, huts, with a smaller ruling class who live in wealth that oppress huge masses of poor, where Khajiit skooma dealers and Argonian thugs rule the streets.

Needless to say, Hammerfell is pissed (losing territory), but rather then have a full out war with High Rock, a cold war erupts between the two nations, with a series of proxy wars erupting, with the player picking from one of three factions: the Bretons, who want to maintain territorial gains, the Orcs, who want to maintain independance, and the Redguard, who want to not only regain their territory, but now want to hurt High Rock by any means possible.

The Orc missions would likely be mostly combat heavy and involve defense of their new country, the Redguard missions would be more about sabotage, trying to weaken the orcs from within, and assassination, and Bretons would be more about consolidating their power and would be the most magic based.

Feel free to love, hate, or add to my ideas. :)

Get real, people talk about the story, and lore, all the time in this forum.

Just some advice, the thread will probably get moved anyway. I've not seen many threads on this forum specifically about the next game.
