The Companions Questline

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 11:15 pm

I hope this is the right place for this...Sorry if it isn't!

Anyway, I was just wondering a few things about the Companions questline.

Is it a long or short questline?
What does the questline actually entail? I don't really know what the Companions are haha.
Would you consider it fun?
Is it really the only way to become a werewolf? That's what I heard, but I wanted to check.

Thanks in advance :)

it seemed to a short questline to me personally. yes, it's the only to be a werewolf. yes, it is a fun faction to join. it's kind of like the fighter's guild but u can get all the members to be a follower once it's done. i like it lol.

Ah, thanks for replying! I think I'll give this questline a go then! :)

I don't know why you just don't play it and see for yourself. It's not bad, despite it's usually " go to X cave and get this"

Oh I intend to play it, I just wondered what kind of quests there are, that's all. And your 'go to x cave' answers that quite nicely, so thank you :)

I've just started the Companions quest line and I like the fact that they have the reputation of being noble defenders, fighting the bad guys when called upon.

They seemed more like hired thugs to me. Money for protection & protection for money. I can see why they might be considered noble to some, as some forms of protection can only be purchased by money.

I think it depends somewhat on luck what radiant quests you get, or perhaps certain quest givers?

My good knight type character joined this honourable band and was instructed to punch a lady in the face, then run one dungeon, kill one wolf and then became a werewolf member of the inner circle.
Another time it started with rescuing Hroki (a good in ;)), then the dungeon, then retrieving a lost heirloom from another dungeon, a much better start.
Still a very short quest line after that, Companions and Winterhold College would benefit from a lot of fleshing out.

But Winterhold College quests were the only bug free faction questline for me, which is good in a way.
