The Cutscenes

This has bothered me for the longest time.

Starting out, why is my character just about never in the forefront. Never ever interacts with someone, besides once walking side by side with a guy. It kind of makes your character kind of distant from the other people he's fighting with. As well as the beginning never gives any kind of comradery with the Resistance. They're usually arguing and bickering over each other about what's right and wrong. Which might be interesting if I cared about them, or if they had names, or a purpose besides get shot while not helping me and weak exposition.

And then for the end of levels... how come no one is ever shot. Never hit, not even grazed. Its like watching people with paintball guns pop shots at each other from behind cover. Maybe mildly funny at first, but after five seconds has no tension or weight to it. Not even a background punch as they hold back an attack. Plus the sad annoyance is that a few of them are repeated, one I can think of is repeated around four times. Again with no one ever being harmed. I just kind of want to see something that added a little bit of weight or satisfaction some of the time.

So, what do you guys think of the cutscenes?

I agree that the cutscenes need some work.

But, just want to adress your sig. I like brink and the only game I bash on is MW2 every other COD is find. Though normally I would say "It's called an opinion" you know that already.

as far as the end of missions goes... didn't you know this was a bunch of futuristic A-Team episodes?...

well, your character is always in the background because it would be tough to get all the voice actors for characters to do every line. and the three resistance fighters are actually pretty cool. they manage to keep their opinions and personality consistent. i, of course, named them after what they typically wear. hoodie, warrior, and jacket. thats what i call them

Just isn't, I suspect to give you the chance of seeing others' characters.

When servers are filled, others are more likely to see you in the forefront just as you see them.

i always thought the cutscenes should have the top players in it the highest being at the front of the action for both factions......killzone 3 actually handled this pretty well in there "operations" maps....players with the highest exp , would play a role in the cutscenes ,they even had short clips in between objectives with best player so far to explain what the players where supposed to do next and to give the objectives some story context.

the other thing i would like to see added would be at the end of the battle ,the winning faction would have there whole team lined up like they had at the end of this dev video- >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qT0vOEjF-ig << kind of another way to show your squads customization as well as a transition for loading the next stage rather than just the "your faction won " logo....this would also be great for clans and competition matches.
maybe for brink2....if that even happens.
