Post » Tue Jul 24, 2012 11:53 am

I use to recall that the Lords must have some involvement in the Elder Scroll Series but when Oblivion came out they were talking statues and only THREE lords were involved and when Skyrim came out they done it again really now ah but this time the same number THREE of those lords appear and actually talk to you while the others just talk to you in a different form or in the freaking statue thing i want to know do you like the Daedric Lords like this or do you prefer some kind of involvement again

and also Bethesda return the level thing where only by a certain level you can do the Daedric quest or by hearing rumors, or doing a quest which leads up to actually being a Daedric quest, and my least favorite finding the freaking Shrines to them man i want to see them in action again in the next game or I'm not doing the Daedric quests anymore

The reason they don't appear on Mundus directly is because of the Main Plot of Oblivion.

Also OP re-word your poll.

Huh? Okay. What do you define as "involvement"? And many of the Lords appear in an aspect to speak to you.

Spoiler
Sheogorath: In person
Sanguine: In person
Molag Bal: Creepy voice inside you and altar
Mehrunes Dagon: ala Oblivion
Azura: ala Oblivion
Peryte: Aspect/ altar depends on perspective
Nocturnal: In person (although ith an INSANE amount of plot-holed quests related to her)
Vaermina: Voice in head
MMephala: The Ebony Bade/voice in head
Malacath: Altar
Meridia: Aspect (Light)
Hircine: Aspect (beast)
Herma Mora: Aspect (wretched abyss)
Boethia: In person/possession

So, is this your hobby, OP- starting inarticulate rant threads and gibberish polls?

The MQ is about Alduin. He's the god of time. Not divine enough for you, or not evil enough?

All of the daedric princes have quests and all of them speak to you personally. Not even sure what you are on about.

It doesn't always have to be about Daedric Princes. The plot about the return of the dragons in Skyrim was something new and unique. And please, fix your polls.

Hircine, Sheogorath, Nocturnal, Hermaes Mora, Boethia ALL have a form that you sspeak to them in instead of a statue. might be more cant remember for sure. so at least a third of them do.

and they do have this still applied in skyrim. for example, boethia's quest cannot be done until level 30. also most of the quests have some random event that pulls you towards them. the afflicted, boethias cultist. azuras pilgrim. sheogoraths little helper. etc etc

i remember Mehrunes Dagon being involve with three Elder Scroll games and while the MQ of Skyrim does not have Daedric involvement its sad and pathetic that the all mighty Daderic Lords are just talking statues and don't have any necessary involvement with helping the player

Yeah, in fact, they could make a very good MQ without that much "Divine" for a change.

Ties back into the fact they aren't nearly as powerful as they used to be, and their worshippers are frequently persecuted by people fearing another Oblivion Crisis, though Azura and Meridia seem to get passes for being "not so bad."

Where does it say that it is mandatory for a Daedric Prince to help/hinder a PC on an Elder Scrolls Main Quest?
Besides, they HAVE to sit idle and lament the foolishness of Dagon, for it is because of him that Tamriel is perfectly safe from them and any invasions they might have planned.

Not sure about that. Sanguine's quest in Oblivion was hilarious.

I think it's enough that the Dovahkiin can just talk to the Daedric Princes, out of all the people in the world. I don't care how much attention he gets, the Daedra and Aedra should all be really rare encounters :|

Hermaeus Mora? NOT taking interest in mortal affairs is kind of his thing.

...the Daedric quests? They are well involved in their respective quests which are also, IMO, a step-up from their Oblivion counterparts. Except Sheogorath's, man those flaming dogs were awesome!

Yeah, maybe it was difficult to implement his true form, or they just didn't plan on doing it. We'll never know.
