The Dark Brotherhood wants me dead. : V

So, I'm not very far into the game yet. I've spent a lot of time just wandering around. Well, I'm doing the "A Night to Remember" quest and I'm traveling to Whiterun to talk to Ysolda when a Kajhitt assasin attacks me. SO, I dropped him. Turns out he was from the DB and they want me dead. Does this mean I can't do the DB quests?

Probably not. I found... someone... who was looking for a DB assassin and asked me to do a kill. I said yes but have yet to do it. Anyway not long after that a Kajit attacked me as well, out in the wilderness and yeah, had a contract on her. I'm guessing it's part of the quest towards working for them...

Someone performed the Black Sacrament.

You can still do the DB quests. It's just a random event, and doesn't appear to actually be caused by anything.

I was attacked by one after starting the DB quest, but before I rested to have Astrid speak to me. After the fight, I slept in a bed near by and truly began the DB quest line XD

I've killed 13 DB assassins, all argonians.

As you progress into the game, or do a specific quest (I don't know which), some [censored]face scumbag puts out a hit on your head. Probably because you stole his sweetroll and shot an arrow in his knee.

Two assassins came after me early in the game as well.

I guess it's kind've a cool random event... but it didn't really make sense to happen so soon. I was a complete stranger in Skyrim and hadn't interacted with many people at all at that point. Why would someone want me assassinated?

I guess it's kind've a cool random event... but it didn't really make sense to happen so soon. I was a complete stranger in Skyrim and hadn't interacted with many people at all at that point. Why would someone want me assassinated?

What do you look like in the game? I'm sure there was a reason.

You can still do the Dark Brotherhood quests. The AI just randomly sends assassin's though. If you join them then the assassination attempts will stop. I only know of one way to not be able to do them, and that is to murder the whole Brotherhood.

I would just kill them on sight, regardless if they are hostile or not.

I killed 3 DB assassins before I got around to starting the quest line, remember in Oblivion one of the assassin's in that game joined the DB after a failed assassination attempt on her by the DB and so she killed her own father who performed the sacrament to begin with. All the assassins were either Imperials or Breton, whatever race they were, they all looked identical, I suspect they all came from the same base model that maybe randomly generated only once.

You can make friends and enemies in the game. Enemies will sometime try to have you killed.

One attacked me right after I'd done Bleak Falls Barrow, near Anise's cabin, so it's hard to tell who hired them to kill me since I just started that character. It was an Altmer that time.
