You should be fine adding it to your queue from xbox.com as confirming the download, aka "purchasing" it for free, you'll technically own the licenses at that point and the download will start automatically once your xbox is turned back on. But just to be safe since your parents will still be there, why not just call them and walk them through downloading it for you once it's released?

It's not pathetic, but totally understandable for people to get mad when something that has been stated by the devs would happen, but didn't without the devs saying a word until a few days later. People get mad, because they like this game and rather not want to see it die. I mean I got annoyed by the unannounced delay as well. When I buy a hamburger I want it within the next few minutes.... not the next hour because the cooks decided to go take an hour long smoke break without notifying anybody in the restaurant that we weren't gonna get our food anytime soon.

Why do people keep using that lousy excuse? It was never guaranteed to us when we would get it, it wasn't a service individually ordered AND paid for by us. It was not something we were waiting at a desk or counter for. It's something we had no part in, no decision in. We didn't ASK for this service, it's a GIFT, it's a PRESENT, it's an apology.
This also isn't something the developers just tossed off to the back burner because they felt like it. I'm sure they were busting their asses trying to get this out on time. They didn't just drop it because they went to "take an hour long smoke break." That's irrelevant and your example is garbage.
Had we paid in advance, I would have understood. But we're not even paying for it (for the first two weeks).

I get being frustrated. But show some respect and some self-control. Not you in particular, just people who RAGE over this sort of thing. The developers are offering us a favor and most of us are spitting in their faces when they couldn't deliver when WE wanted it.

I agree with you, people need to stop complaining that they are getting free stuff (yes i know it was supposed to be in the original game but whatever, this is how it has played out so just accept it, download it for free when its available, and enjoy it).

Complaining that it is going to come later is not going to change that fact much, this is the hand we have been dealt so just accept it and enjoy the game for what we have. Not everyone in a game of poker is going to get two A's to start out with just how we are not going to always be given the 'best' game up front with all of the add-ons (maybe not the best anology but its what i thought of, if it doesn't make sense move on).

I know it would have been nice to have been updated earlier by the dev's that it was going to be later but the way people react to it seems like its the end of the world to them. Just because you are not getting your content (free content) right away DOESN'T mean your going to die. Play another game for awhile, lvl up your characters so your ready to work towards lvl 24, or better yet get away from video games and ENJOY life... instead of continually complaining that some add on to a video game is delayed

What i don't like about the Galactic is that while it does have a lot of ammo available,it doesn't teach you to use your ammo a little more sparingly than other guns like the Bulpdaun. Of course if your a soldier you have plenty of ammo so fire away. I like the Kross because it's in-between the two, has quite a bit of ammo but not where about your first mag is about 50% of your total ammo capacity.

Like hot-wire said its like ordering something from a restureaunt [even if it is 'free'] then waiting 45 minites and then the waiter saying "sorry your order is expected in another 45 minites, but heres a picture of your food" So your like ok.. ill wait then. Then 45 minites later you still have no food... and nobody has told you anything about it even with other people asking, so you go and ask where your food is, and you just get ignored.....wtf.
If you havent already left the resturant then you very much have the right to complain. anyone who doesnt complain, or is delusional, or tries to justify them doing it because "the food isnt coming so why let us no? its still not coming yet, why complain?" are just mugs in my opinion, have your opinion about people who complain, but it doesnt change these people very much have the reason to complain, maybe if they wern't complaining they would even still be here..... so be thankfull for that, would you rather them not even play the game anymore? These people dont like being mugged off... let them complain the the company hasnt given them any reason not to when they eaisly could have.....

All the whining er complaining is not going to change anything. If a couple thousand people stood out front of SD's headquarters with Molotovs and Sea Eagles it still would not make a difference.

For those that are this upset the best thing to be heard, prove a point, and get something done. Silence and dont buy another game that SD was involved in. Money is the bottom line and if they dont sell copies then you won! Now granted it would take at the least a couple 100k of people worth of loss in sales. Just an idea.

People don't have the right to complain about Brink. Brink had the best launch of any game I've seen this year, and they're giving away free content... and it's not because there was anything wrong or broken with the game AT ALL. Splash Damage is doing it because they're just stand up people. Some of you guys should be happy you have the opportunity to play such a breath of fresh air game. They should have charged $100 for the game.

The 923 people who play Brink on PC don't need you complainers messing it up for them. Neither does the 10 people who never experienced lag on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Be patient and wait. New video games definitely don't have a window to show and prove. If the DLC gets released in 2012, people will wait.

Brink did not fail any certification w/ PS3 or Xbox 360. The DLC isn't out yet because Xbox 360 has never experienced such an epic release with such boundary shattering game play and smooth net code. They're preparing their servers. PS3 got hacked, and they don't want anything bad to happen to it's gem Brink when it hits the stores, so you whiners and complainers go play something else. Brinks immense gamer base is going to be here if you decide to come back, and NO those are not Bots, they're actually Brink players.

Ahem..... I could name MANY... lol. Just becasue Brink got a good amount of sales [that it wouldnt even have half of if Bethesda didnt spend so much advertising and hyping the game up] it doesnt mean it had a good launch... It had a terrible launch... players have consistantly dropped since the first day it was out.... there was 1000's of copies traded in in the first week...... the game wasnt working for the first few weeks and for some still doesn't.... for example The first day on steam there was nearly 30,000 people online..... and ever since it has dropped in number considerably day by day.... just 2 months later its not even in the steam top 100 most of the time with less than 300 players for most of the day.

If there is any assumption that is what makes most sense.... for both PS3 and Xbox the average is 2 weeks.... and both platforms have had all the DLC's for others games come out on time and the same with no problems the last few months...... I thought you put this game down indefinatly, that you even tried to trade it in. So.... do you love this game or hate it? You seem to just change your mind a lot.

As for the DLC while it looks nice, I don't think 1 dlc will change a game. I hope ppl come back so I have ppl to play with. Honestly, there's still no lobby and ppl hate that which is why 20 of my friends quit playing. If you can't find ppl all the dlc in the world won't help free or not.
I hope I'm wrong and ppl come back and stay, but I doubt it.. it's a shame too considering how much fun Brink can be.
