Why no shout of "Dovahkiin!" after you absorb a dragon soul? It was at the end of the gameplay demo Todd Howard narrated. I was expecting it to be in the game and it's not. I was a sad panda when I found out it wasn't.

Turn on subtitles. It gets cut off.

That's not what he meant.

What he meant was Dovahkiin himself shouting his own name after absorbing a soul.

Can you imagine how badass it would be if he'd done that after killing Alduin?

Lol. Yeah, I'd seen it, but still wasn't sure. A part of me tells me it's kinda cheesy, but another part says it's epic. I think it's both and I like it.

If there's anything I HATE is that someone ruins your cool moment (aka, I'd turn that giant into ashes as soon as I reload a new game....with a mace).

Still, when I'm bored I'm gonna check if by any chance they left that sound behind in the game files. It'd be cool to implement it as a mod (making the shout frequency configurable, of course).

When I absorb a dragon soul, I go into third person and use a ward spell so it looks as though I'm actually doing something to absorb the soul

I cant quite imagine my Female Bosmer shouting it, maybe a Nord or Imperial, but not a Bosmer.

If you watch that demo, you will see that you'll only actually do this shout when there are no enemies around. The first dragon is just as standard. The "DOVAHKIN!!!" shout doesn't happen until everyone is dead.

I would really like some sort of quickening animation. Of course its would also be good if most creatures actually fled the dragons wrath. The ward spell or something like that isn't a bad idea. Just standing hands at your sides really bugs me.

If the sound is in the game files, it could be toggled through a mod no? Like, press B after killing a dragon too shout to the heavens.
I'd use it, it seems so lame to simply stand there while absorbing the soul.

When did he do that? I watched the video that was linked and imo it was the greybeards who shouted: Dovahkiiiiiiiin!
