Q) How do I pick things up and carry them?
A) Unlike Oblivion this feature no longer has its own key, hold in 'E' (not sure what it is in console, will edit)

Well, that's all I could come up with :hehe:

To pick up and carry items on xbox you hold down the "A" button. And for playstation it should be hold down the "X" button.

I'm guessing you have to unfavorite the item/spell.

I'm unsure of how you would unfavorite an item, I don;t even use hotkeys

:ermm:

Just snuck in a quick test of the unbinding of hotkeys, and it turns out that unfavoriting doesn't remove it.
If it's an item, dropping it on the ground removes the hotkey and favorite status.
If it's a spell, you can only overwrite it with something else (which could be an item that you then dropped on the ground).

Needlessly complex :s

Seems a bit of an oversight

I think you can overwrite items as well

Q) Why are greaves and cuirasses combined?
Because it makes arrow to the knee jokes viable. No greaves - no knee protection.

And people were complaining about it breaking immersion?

Now we have a real reason to hate it

Q) Why are greaves and cuirasses combined?
A) This is to reduce armor clipping and makes the game run smoother with more NPCs on-screen

Anyone care to explain this one? I can understand the clipping issue (even if that's just poor design in the first place), but how exactly would that make the game run smoother or with more NPC's on-screen?
The game still needs to draw the same amount of polygons to display the items. Combining 4000 polygon greaves with 6000 polygon cuirass to make a 10000 polygon combined set (random numbers) is not going to reduce the taxation of the graphics processors... where's the technical benefit coming from?

Previously the greaves were on a different layer to cuirasses, now they are on the same layer which makes it easier faster to load

But you can start a thread for that if you want to discuss in more depth.

Why do we need a dummies guide. When the TES games since Oblivion are made just for dummies, hence the map and quest markers for example.......
