I misunderstood when they said I could not take anything into the embassy and dumped all my weapons. Then I met the elf that I was suppossed to give my weapons to to hide on the inside for me. Now I have been stuck in the embassy for two days and do not know what to do. Any help or am I going to have to start over?

If you're on pc use the "kill" command in the console. If not I guess you have to start over.

Magic or super stealth

It's game over for you. Seriously. My dad did the exact same thing, and he had to restart, because he didn't have a previous save to go back to. Either revert to a previous save and try it again, or restart.

I know the place ur talking about. Even though the game doesn't tell you, you need to make ur way outside from upstairs and enter the door on the outside to get the key for the locked room.

Pretend your character did indeed misunderstand his orders, and go super stealthy. Then, when you complete the mission, feel like a badass and recover all the equipment you dropped (it shouldn't de-spawn, assuming you don't wait around for too long).

I had a bound sword so I wasn't paying attention but are there no weapons to be found laying around in the embassy?

Pay attention to dialogue and save often, if you have any magic you could try that then take any weapons and armor off the first Thalmor you kill.

Go through the embassy to the first Thalmor agents. Sneak up and beat one down with your fists, or use magic. Loot some weapons and armor, and kill your way through.

Easy.

There are thalmor robes inside that you can get easily by sneaking past the first couple of guards into the next room

just put on easy difficulty for a sec, equip a spell (you gotta have something) and after you killed an enemy, take his weapon and armor and off you go

Theres elven armor available too if I remember correctly.

I guess you could try magic, but that first room you encounter there are like 3 or 4 Thalmor in there, and one of them is a pretty tough mage/magic user. You may be able to kill one with magic, take his gear, equip it quickly, then try to kill the rest via melee. Good luck. Let us know if you survive it.

its possible to get through the first building without anyone seeing you, but one you get outdoors, there is a wizard blocking the door of the 2nd building who wont ever move.

my suggestion (and this actually happened to me while i was trying to do my super stealth embassy run) is to wait long enough that a dragon appears in the sky and then the thalmor are distracted trying to kill it. then you slip into the next building and the rest is cake.

I did it intentionally for an added challenge. killed my first guy with nearly non existent magic, took his gear, killed the next guy..... changed into were form in the outside part killed all them.

Took me a little longer but I enjoyed it more. I did this on expert and will never bring gear again as I know with a little planning you can do it.

Take that as an opportunity for a good challenge. If you RP, this'll be even more intense, as you'll have to observe, make a plan, act fast, and take the equipement off the first enemy you see.


What makes it hard is that in the first room there's something like 2-3 soldiers and one mage. But yeah, plan it well, and you can pull it off.

Beat the [censored] out of the first elf you find with your fists, then take his weapon.

Use your fists... and magic.

turn the difficulty bar all the way down and then punch out a single Badguy. Try waiting for the small group in the first room you have to enter to disperse which may leave one justicar behind. Beat him up and stay alive with healing spells or potions. There are potions around the building. If you can get a single weapon, you're back.

This is one of the most interesting quests I've been on since I started playing. When you're passed the first indoor part of the embassy and made your way into the courtyard, there are two Thalmor mages and one guy with a sword. Strange thing is: though my stealth skill was about 50-60 when I did that quest, as soon as I drew any weapon while sneaking, they were immediately alert and walked - sword drawn - in my direction. I tried to encounter them several times with the stuff I sneaked into the embassy. Because that stuff only consisted of bow and arrow and an ebony sword and no armor whatsoever, I didn't have any luck killing them.
It even got more peculiar when I decided to just try to get to the door that leads to the interrogation rooms. The three of them started to attack me by summoning atronachs and chasing me, but as soon as I went through that door, they gave up! That discovery made the remaining part quite easy, because I could just hop from door to door. Whether it's a bug or a stealth perk - although I would have known, because the perks are chosen by the player - I'm not sure.
Also, Lydia, my noble housecarl, suddenly appeared out of nowhere and started helping me fight the bastards that attacked me.
Armed with my ebony sword, finally some armor and a few potions of minor healing, me and Lydia managed to bash our way through to a secret escape route outside the embassy and successfully finished the mission.

Well this is a challenge! Use your magic! It will be hard though but I'm sure it can be done! Which level are you?
