I just sorted out Alduin and was told that I had fulfilled my destiny and when I asked about other shouts I was told that the greybeards did not hear anything. I want to get them all - I have not done any of the civil war quests yet as I didn't want to take sides until the last moment. Do I have to go back to an earlier save or will they start helping me find them again?

You can still progress, although I'm not sure if the greybeards will continue to help you. But there's always google to find the other shout locations

That is rather odd, the Greybeards should help you find the words if you didn't betray them. I'm thinking it's either a bug or you found all the words that they are able to point you too.

You can pratically get all benefits from the Blades and Greybeards before you takes sides. You should read up on how it's done in one of the wikis.

Well you can't get them all unless you join all the factions as some are hidden in dungeons that are faction specific.

If you use your voice in a city (like Whiterun) a courier will run up to you and give you a location of a wall. I am not sure if he ever stops doing this until you have them all.

provided you didn't also do what the blades asked of you... if you did that then the graybeards have nothing to say to you ever again that isn't right on the border of hostile...

the wordwalls will continue to have the sound of chanting, so you'll have to do dungeons and explore the map above ground and listen carefully.

Note if you did join the Blades and you get others to join then they will send you on missions that will also find walls.

Thanks for the responses. I havn't betrayed the Greybeards so I suppose that the Blades quests are unavailable to me. Don't know why the Greybeards were unhelpful - it was immediately after I had killed Alduin so maybe if I go back after a while they will help - they did say something about me having quite an arsenal at my disposal so there is a possibility that they can't help me further.
