The forsworn are my favourite guild, ;-)

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 6:29 am

I was reading the thread about the forsworn conspiracy and it finally hit me, I would love for the forsworn to be a proper guild. I dont know what they could do or the storyline but the forsworn are the only group that make me feel like im part of it i.e. no you do this or you do that

Also the forsworn conspiracy is a good joining quest and at the end maybe we'll finally get the reach back!
So in a dlc or an exp pack. NOT A MOD AS CONSOLE PLAYERS MAKE UP OF 50% OF THE COMMUNITY (i think). Yes or no, a bandit guild?

Personally, I don't like the Forsworn. The acts of violence you see them commit against others can be unspeakably cruel. Sure, they're victims of the Nords and everything, but that can only get you so much sympathy.

I like the Forsworn. I was once being attacked by a Dragon in the Reach, and out of nowhere a whole gang of them pile in and fight the dragon alongside me.

Forsworn Conspiracy is also one of the better quests IMO

The opposite happened to me. I was attacked by a Dragon in the Reach and out of nowhere a whole gang of them piled in and began to try and kill me. This was after I helped them with the Forsworn Conspiracy. Jerkfaces.

Yeah, I helped them on my first play through. And they still tried to kill me.

My opinion of the game took a nose dive at that point.

It's explained in game that the forsworn are pretty loosely connected and only Madanach's immediate forces will stop fighting you, meaning one redoubt. All others have no idea who you are and still attack on sight. Madanach tells you this himself, I believe.

i think they're fun to fight, lots o' archery practice to be had with them. Just wish the briarhearts didn't blend in so well...kinda crazy having taken no damage til they show up to eat half my health in a power attack.

Also they are bat [censored] crazy, all teh animal mutilations and they hang out with hargraven!

I wouldn't mind a DLC where you could either join or smash them. Same with the Thalmor.

More than 50%, at least 75% of players are xbox/ps3 iirc.

It would be great to be able to join them, pity it wasn't included past the forsworn conspiracy quest.

And yet people still paint them as a scorned people, deserving of sympathy.

The Nords tried to wipe them out because they're savages. Daedra worshiping savages.

Yeah, I really love the forsworn too. It's a shame only about 20 are non-hostile at the end of the two forsworn quests though :/ The aggressive ones are quite fun to kill though :D

I've never really had an interest in joining the Forsworn.

However, I'd love to join the Vigilants of Stendar !!!

I would create a character to RP as a member of the Forsworn any day. Would I get the option of getting a briar-heart?

I've never seen them directly worship Daedra. Maybe they might have some ties with Namira or perhaps Hircine, but I thought that was just imperial propaganda.
But I'd still wipe them out anyway, as they attack mostly innocent civilians. Whereas if they attacked only soldiers, I'd have little quarry with them.

I would be more interested in starting a cult of Meridia in skyrim. That's a cause I could get behind.

I'm playing as a Forsworn right now.

My take on the use of our violence is that the Stormcloaks and Imperials are using violence in battling each other. As forsworn, our use of violence is really no different as we're just battling them for the same reasons...control of The Reach and our independence.

It's all a matter pf perspective.

I could get behind that, BUT

Spoiler
I've never seen Imperials or Stormcloaks use their enemy's head on a grindstone and laugh about it.

Seeking independence is one thing. I can support the Reachmen wanting independence, but their actions against non-combatants are unacceptable.

I am playing as one now, been thinking about it a while and finally made a female Breton just for this purpose. You console players who want to be Forsworn aren't gonna want to hear this. But on PC you can add your character to that faction and walk around Forsworn camps, take stuff from chests, whatever you want.

Also, I did the MQ because even Forsworn don't want to be Dragon Kibble. I used the console to add Lydia, who I was begrudgingly hauling around to that point, Esbern, and Delphine to the 'faction'. That way we weren't attacked at Karthspire, and it was a good thing too as we ended up helping the Forsworn fight a dragon there.

Now get this, then I decided hey, why not just go all out making Lydia Forsworn? So I deleted her equipment, gave her well smithed Forsworn armor, bow and two axes. Then I gave her dual flurry perk, and now she dual wields like a freakin' dynamo. And I setscale her to the female Breton height. I was pretty pleased until we were killing this random Nord hunter which I do from time to time, and she screams, 'The Forsworn will claim what is rightfully ours' and I was ecstatic. As if things could not get any better, while doing Skuldafn, my character started yelling Forsworn cries as she smash-faced some draugr, so now she actually talks sometimes! I am quite pleased with the whole affair.

Last I checked, Madanach is the KING of his people. I helped out an Orc with his mine problem and the entirety of Orc Strongholds all over Skyrim goes "wassup brah!", yet saving a King is worth less?

The forsworn kills anything that is not a Forsworn. I've seen Bretons laying on a table as their victim

I find them interesting, along with the Alik'r and Thalmor. These factions give Skyrim some added flavor that was missing in Oblivion and the melting pot of Cyrodiil.

I also like how the Forsworn dress, especially their headgear.
