Looks pretty neat. You could have put some effort on the first post.
Edit: nevermind that last sentence.

I saw that on Razer's site the other day, it looks cool, but I am not a fan of portable games really. I like having an extremely powerful desktop to game at home and use my portable devices (laptop, smartphone) for school and work. Until we have a new breakthrough in battery tech, playing games on a portable device is just not going to be very logical for me.

This is really not the future, considering it will either become very hot and drain the battery quickly, or not powerful enough to run the latest games.

Me: "Johnny! Why is your backpack smoking?!"
Johnny: "Oh, I just finished a hardcoe gaming session that's all!"

The Asian guy narrating it makes it sound like the most revolutionary thing in PC gaming ever.

I am less impressed however, as I have no idea who would want to PC game on a 7" screen.

I can see it appealing to a very niche market of people who simply must play their favorite games on crowded trains, in the bathroom, on elevators, while in a queue at the bank, and other venues where hand-top gaming is the only answer. The rest of us will still prefer a mouse and keyboard since for most traditional games a touchscreen won't really cut it, no matter how sensitive - and in the meantime simply use our already-touchscreened phones to play minigames.

It does have some nice features, though, and I wouldn't mind seeing a similar, full-size gaming keyboard appear for desktop users...

You mean Razer, not Intel. They are using Intel's Atom processor, but the device was developed by Razer themselves, a gaming peripherals company.

That looks pretty cool. The one problem I can think of is that most of the situations I would want to use it would make using a mouse difficult, but if they had a controller peripheral I'd consider it.

Yea, this is how I feel. I don't like the lack of a mouse.

They got all types of peripherals connected through bluetooth.

Nice try, but WoW as example is just low. We all know modern technology had grown waaaaaaaay beyond that.

I'm far more interested in the http://www.openpandora.org/. It looks like it'd be much better for actual handheld gaming.

Yeah. I was just thinking, the biggest hurdle to making a portable PC platform is not replicating the damn keyboard and mouse...it's replicating the raw hardware power that PCs utilize.

So it runs emulator, which is technically illegal, unless it gets the license, which won't be an open ware.

while the Razor Switchblade might not be the future of hand help PC gaming I am curious about checking one out.

I wonder if Oblivion could run on one.

What about the mouse?? I don't see a touch pad, and if you need an actual mouse, I'm guessing you need a desk too. Which makes it a bit less portable. I hear desks are quite big. :|

it does have a USB port so that a mouse can be used but as far as I can tell the built-in way to point is the touch sensitive screen.
