The future of video games?

I'm going to guess that this is where it will eventually go.

Just read about that myself. Looks like a next gen Virtual Boy. I don't think it's the future for me at least, don't see myself wearing that. I'm just fine with consoles and pc.

I hope not, I hate this trend of "ooh he made 3d film? letz have everything go 3d!1!!"
I live my life in 3D I don't need to enter a fantasy world that simulates me being in it.
As for that gadget, I really can't see it taking off besides in a few rich people.

I wear glasses aswell so wearing that will instantly irrate me, more so than the specs you get at the cinema

To be perfectly honest, that thing looks like a severe case of motion sickness waiting to happen.

My prediction is about the next generation of Xbox consoles. I'll stick my neck out and guess that you'll be able change graphics cards, i.e. update them with newer versions, so that the console can keep up with PCs. I doubt you'd be able to put a PC GC in, as I would expect them to be console exclusives and designed to fit easily into the console. And I don't think the next console will be called the Xbox 720.

That thing would be awesome for playing consoles in bed. Not sure it will take on in the living room though. How dull would it be to have a family sitting there with one of those each all watching a different thing completely isolated from the room.

I'm pretty sure that Sony already tried this. I seem to recall a similar device called the Glastron that also had built in headphones. I remember thinking how cool they would be for playing the brand new game that I had just purchased called Half-Life. However it cost a few thousand dollars and I couldn't justify that cost.
