I agree with http://kotaku.com/5800180/played-it-beat-it-still-dont-know-how-good-brink-is:

Should you buy Brink now? I'd wait. It's just now touching the oxygen of being played by gamers online. Let the chemical reactions take. Brink today is not the game Brink will be in a week; the game today may be better, it may be worse, but it's temporary. For now, I'll give you a shrug and tell you: I'm just not sure.

And I agree with http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2011/05/why-were-not-review-brink-and-why-you-shouldnt-buy-it-yet.ars:

My advice right now is to stay away from the game. The version of the game I played is a mess, and not worth your money. Keep an eye on the forums, check to see if reviews are updated as the game is patched, and then make a decision. Sadly, I'll be traveling starting on Wednesday, and the week after that I'll be out of the office taking part in E3 preview events filled with games I can't talk about. It's going to be a good long time before I can download the PC version of the game and tell you what I think.

i would get it. I brought it for xbox despite some of the bad comments. I have not had much problem with lag online. The only problem was that there was not many people playing it online. But today i have had quite a few games with a full team of online players. But the enemy team seem to be mostly bots. But i have been enjoying it immensley so different from other shooters and for me it is a refreshing change.

I got it to tide me by until gears of war 3. I have completed the resistance campaign in 1 day but its fun and has many different tactics on each level so you wont get bored in a hurry. Especially when they release some DLC. Also it is one of the easiest games to get gamerpoints i have played.

The lag issues as far as I know are mostly concerned with the Xbox version (as we cannot play on PSN).

I've actually put several hours in at this point, and while you do come across laggy games, I can find non-laggy games more often than not. You just have to leave the game and rejoin another one. Hardly terrible given they are currently working on a solution.

I say get it. It's pretty fun. Been loving my Operative and his Caltrops. :)

I'd buy it. In fact I have, And I know it's been getting some bad comments but I'm honestly having a great time with it you've just got to get into it, it's like a Terry's chocolate orange... tough to get into but once you do It's bloody delicious.

For PC with a good rig and nVidia. its a must buy.
For PC with a good rig and ATI. If you have nothing else its still a must buy.
For Console. meh i dont know. PS3 users seem to like it, Xbox users seem to be mixed between those that cannot play due to lag issues (SD working on that) and those that want another CoD with freerunning.

If i was on console. Id probably wait.

Seriously, wait two or so weeks. By then, Patches will release, BRINK haters and zealots will leave, and selfish teammates will leave.

You'll be able to review BRINK for what it's supposed to be, not the crap it is now.

For PS3, if you're willing to bear with the AI issues until it's tweaked, buy.

I haven't played online, but I've found a workaround for the AI that helps me. If you're having trouble, switch difficulties, and don't assume Hard will actually be Hard - for at least a few of us, it's not.

Its NOT a "must buy" on PC. Maybe in a month or two when they fix the ATI driver issues(by that I mean AMD updating their drivers). No demo is such a stupid idea, especially when you cannot return PC games if they dont work because the dev decided not to support your hardware choices and theres no way to check if it actually works. Even if it works 100% perfectly on your machine I cant really say its a must have because peoples opinions are pretty polarized about the game.

For consoles just go out and rent it. Its a love it or hate it kinda game, so I wouldnt know if youd like it or not because youre not me.

Ehh, buy it if you buy more than 1 game a year. Or if you think you can, wait until they patch it. It's rather messed up right now.
