Okay seriously? The game has a ton of rave reviews, is still full of an active community 5 months plus after release. The modding community is in high gear and the game has made inroads into some of the mainstream tv shows. You know I am not sure if I would buy it.

Okay seriosuly the game is wroth the full price still! Do not wait for a sale buy it NOW!!!!!

Only have 600+ hours of playtime (PS3), so I can't give a clear answer just yet. Ask again in a few months.

Dude, get this game now!

That depends, if your 360 or PC then yes, PS3 no. PC is probably the best bet as that version doesn't have as many issues as the 360/PS3 version and you have access to mods that fix the problems that plaque Skyrim.

That's one difficult question because we have no idea what kind of games you enjoy and what you expect from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Have you played any of the previous ones?

If you haven't got a PC that is capable of playing Skyrim, then it still might be worth the money

I play on PS3 and have not really had any more problems than any other platform. PC is certainly the Cadilac version cause of the mods, and the access to the ini file, but I would not say the PS3 version is not worth purchasing.

After 570 hours of playing, I calculate that the game has cost me 10.2 cents/hour to play. Try finding any other entertainment form that costs so little.

The PS3 version of Skyrim isn't bad as people pertend, it may have more bugs but it has better graphics then the Xbox.

Definitely, if you just focus on the main quest and mess around in the world a little you should get at least 40 hours, which is more than your average game but if you take your time exploring and trying out the wide variety of thing the game has to offer, you will still be playing 300 hours later like most of us here are. It is definitely worth buying, and as other users have said if your PC can run it then buy it for PC as it has a great modding community. If your PC can't run it - like mine can't - then still get the game as I have ran in to no problems and put about 500 hours into the game.

That's the way I look at it too. And if I'm playing something for 100's of hours then I must be enjoying it. Worth every penny.

As far as PC or console goes, it depends. I spend a lot of time in my computer chair in front of my f'ing computer screen. The PC version is easily the most versatile but I don't want to sit in this chair any longer than I have to. So I enjoy playing it on my Xbox while laying on my couch... 'cause I'm a health freak and all.

Yes, especially if this is your first time with Elderscrolls. If not, I would suggest waiting about a year after the game has come out in order to appease your expectations. By then the game should be mostly fixed, DLC should be out and some really good mods should be out too. Get if for PC.

Very interesting way to look at it.

To OP: Borrow it, or play it somewhere to get your answer, I can say yes, you can play it and be disatisfied. You won't know until you try yourself.

Heck, 30 hrs go by just exploring a _little_ bit (I recon I have explored ~60% of Flakreath Hold)...

Is it worth buying? Yes!

It it worth buying considering the "competition" (ie: Mass Effect 3)? HELL YES!
