The Heavies will RISE!

Post » Sat Jul 30, 2011 4:35 am

As the thread title says, I believe a hardcoe spike in heavy players is about to happen. I just put a few of the new HVY weapons through their paces, and GOOD GOD!!! The Hjammerdiem is officially the most beastly weapon in the game. With a damage buff, I was taking OTHER HEAVIES out with one shot. ONE SHOT. If it sounds like I'm marking out, that's because I AM. I was so sick of little lights with their Carb-9 [censored] my Hvy characters. But now, a light doesn't stand a chance against a Hvy 1 on 1, especially with the Hjammerdiem. I dropped about 4 of them in a row in my last match (where I racked up a staggering 76 kills, ALL with the Hjammerdiem) with one shot, WITHOUT a damage buff.

The heavies will rise. Now duck.

I loved playing my heavy Hulkster before... I'm giddy with excitement about playing as him now!

I know what you mean. I racked up an astonishing 36 kills with the Hjammerdeim on CCity a few hours ago.

My new setup:
Hjammerdeim shotgun- adj. irons
FRKN 3K- D-Flex RDS, muzzle brake, grip

In the words of the Heavy-
"SO MUCH BLOOD!"

Oh yea, for all the Carb-9 spammers out there, the gun is pretty much useless now. They nerfed the damage and the spread is ungodly. The muzzle rises up if you hold down fire so much that you'll be looking at the sky if you try to spray and pray. Prepare for a quick and violent death, Carbies. :P

hey Oz!

i assume not everyone reads these forums or probably even knows about the weapons patches (gasp, not everyone reads/posts on these forums about brink!?!) - and i am def excited about the prospect of going up against carbies rolling with their standard loadout sans the knowledge of the updated guns. i messed around with the guns this a.m. (except for heavies, dont have any) and the new carb is fair, which given the drop in dmg and the increase in spread (and kick! holy S!), just shows how OP it was.

But now it feels like the Smg got the crap end of the deal here as a light they figure since you have mobility that makes up for loss of health and power...you can't outrun a burrage of bullets..and with the small corridors.. :sadvaultboy: I use the Bulpdaun and i find the stats fair but it feels like im david against goliath...And my rock just got knocked down to a pebble and his club just became a +1 holy avenger :flamethrower:

So i agree with the OP...The heavies will rise

i dont play heavy, but it sounds like it's no longer viable to just charge and strafe (or circle strafe) a heavy all by your lonesome. this is how it should be.

and i think this thread title is a bit misleading, it may in fact be the lights that do the rising (at least in terms of climbing) to escape the wrath of some pissed off heavies - carb spammed for too long, they will exact their revenge.

I use the Bulpdaun! I have used the carb to combat other carb users but i dont like it and glad it was nerfed but all smg's have taken a hit for this and lights barely do any damage now :sadvaultboy: WWHHHYYY!!! :cryvaultboy: lmao

...All BUT the Bulpdaun! That's why it'll become the new CARB-9 (If all the little carboholics can get off there bums and actually complete 'Be More Objective 2'). For now, this is the age of the heavy. I get best overall, soldier and most kills 9/10 games now, thanks to my E-Z-Nade!

@Hot-Wire

I can't help but call you a hipster for that comment. What next, when the DLC comes out and (hopefully) more people play, you brag "I was here before it was cool."?
