[DiD] The (hopefully not so) Many Lives of Mere

Post » Wed Nov 14, 2012 5:51 am

So, I've never done a dead-is-dead challenge before in an Elder Scrolls game, and I thought I'd try now, with the diverse options for gameplay available in Skyrim. I shall record the travels of my character and try and tell an interesting story for any that may wish to read it. I shall adhere to the following rules:
  • I'll be using iHUD. My intention upon setting out will be to use the compass when on the world map, but upon entering a dungeon turn it off. This, coupled with the darkness brought on by Realistic Lighting, will make dungeon-delving a true experience.
  • I will be playing on Expert, and will not turn down the difficulty at any time.
  • I will only fast travel along redundant paths. I.E., say I get a quest in Whiterun, run out and do it, and then run back from the cave to Whiterun -- it's redundant, it's a path I've already traveled, and there's nothing new to be discovered. Every other instance I will hoof it.
The following mods that affect gameplay will be used:
  • iHUD
  • Chesko's Wearable Lanterns
  • Realistic Lighting
  • Hoods with Circlets
  • Economics of Skyrim
I also have a whole slew of graphical upgrade mods, but see no point in listing them unless asked about something.

And now, let me introduce you to the First Life: http://i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af244/judeferguson42/The%20Many%20Lives%20of%20Mere/2012-11-13_00004.jpg. I chose Khajiit because as you know Realistic Lighting makes the game very dark, and the Night Eye ability will come in very handy. First in-character post shall come later tonight, once I get a couple days under my belt.

Awesome! I love DiD games, ever since the Elder Strolls :D I played one a few months ago. Lasted just over a month on master before a random giant encounter... Ouch... Anyway, good luck and I look forward to reading more :) I will 'follow' this with interest!
