The House Always Wins II (MAJIOR PROBLEM)

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 7:08 am

Spoilers

So I talked to Benny, he ambushed me, got away.....blah, blah blah, you know the story. So when I left Tops, some guy told me that Caeser wanted to see me and Mr. House told me to there and NOT kill Caeser. So when I got to the boat landing everybody attacked me. I was able to get on the boat and go to the fort, but every body attacked me, including Caeser!!!! WTF!?!?!?!?!?!, the guy infront of Tops said that all my crimes were forgiven, but I am still "Vilified" and get shot at as soon as I get in range of Cotton Wood Cove. I thought that necklace the "Mark of Caeser" was supposed to keep me safe.. So now I canot complete this mission or any other missions for the Legion. Does anybody else have this problem? If so, were you able to fix it or complete the mission.

Upodate:
-Tried killing everybody in Cotton Wood, took Legion armor and tried to sneak into the Fort. Well that worked until I got into Caesers tent and he attacked me.
- I left boone at the Lucky 38.
- Went back to Tops and looked for the guy that gives you the "Mark of Caeser", didnt find him.
- Just killed everybody at the Fort, that didnt work, I failed quests I didnt even have.
- Tried using Stealth Boys to sneak in and get Benny, couldn't find him.
- Tried using Stealth Boys to sneak in and talk to Caeser, he attacked me.
- Used Stealth Boys to sneak into Caeser's tent and shot him with the Fat-Man, made me feel better.

Edit: Oh the save of me coming out of Tops right after the fight with Benny's goons is long gone.

The only other thing I can think of is to start the game over. However the HUGE problem with that is I have played for 32 hours and I am at level 20 with alot of the desert explored, all snow-globes collected, and so on.... So there is no Flipping way I am restarting the game.

CAN ANYBODY HELP ME???????

I noticed that I failed this quest when I reached vilified status with the Legion. It could be you can't ever reach vilified with the legion, or they won't forgive. You could possibly be screwed.

Yea....I had a feeling that I was screwed. I am going to try to just FLIPPING KILL EVERY LIVING THING at the Fort. If that dosent work and nobody else on the forums can help, I am returning the game. There is nothing like spending 32 hours playing something only to have a main story quest screw up, making you start all over. I would rather take the hit selling the game back to Gamestop then Flipping playing that all over again.

You could work for the NCR and still beat the main quest, I don't think you have to go to the Caesars legion for them. Or wait for a patch, there's supposed to be some coming out fairly soon.

What's so bad about killing the legion? I did the same exact thing you did, but on purpose, lol. Could you explain how it messes up the main quest?

This. I mean, you only failed quests that you didn't even have because you weren't siding with the Legion.

Mr. House told me not to kill Caeser. Also If I were to wipe out the legion, what would happen to there quests? I would miss out on a good chucnk of the game.

Yeah, that's why this game requires multiple playthroughs to experience all of the content. You won't be able to do all of the quests, it just won't work because of conflicting factions.

Well I don't want to spoil the game, but trust me that won't mess it up. I'm a bit ahead of you and you don't need the legion. Definitely take their ballistic fists though, sickest melee weapon in the game!
