I'm surprised the Nords have moved on up from worshipping their gods that were symbolized by animals. Like Kyne was represented with the hawk, Akatosh was probably represented with the dragon, and there's still the snake, moth, fish, owl, wolf, fox, and bear.

EDIT: Of course that gives us nine, and Talos wasn't a divine at that time, so there should only be eight? Maybe there wasn't a fox..

Doesn't that make the Imperial hypocrites as well? You know, the Alessian order tried to make their religion the only right one at the expense of everyone else's. Or what about just in the Septim Empire, when they tried, and eventually succeeded, in making the Nords follow the Imperial gods? Or the Dunmer, who suppresses the daedra worship under the Tribunal?

Haha oh wow what forum are you visiting. More often than not, Nords in general are painted as racist idiots who couldn't survive or defend their own country without the Empire there to hold their hand.

Sure, they have a bloody history, like everyone else. Which is kinda the point, at least in my opinion. You cannot use these things against any single group. The Nords being presented as good are usually tied to the civil war, where they fight either for the Empire or against it, and the war with the Dominion, and in the later they were very important for the retaking of the Imperial City.

I don't know who you're talking about anyway. Personally I'd never say that the Nords are poor downtrodden nances who are crying "stop pickin on meeeee." Skyrim should be ruled by Nords, period. There's no hypocrisy in it if you understand that that is the Nords' motive and sole rationale for what they do. Moreover as long as that's all they're trying to do, it's far less hypocritical than the empire saying "bow to us, because we know what's best for you."

For some reason Orkey sounds like Arkay, many of the religions have the same gods but different names for them.

You are right about the Nords not crying about being picked on. First they tell you to stop and if you don't they fight back. Like they are doing now, in the civil war.
