The Jarl's Child

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 6:28 am

Does anyone else find his mocking tone extremely irritating? "Another wanderer, here to lick my father's boots. Good job." or "You must be the new servant. Remember that I like my meat rare." I feel that his arrogance could cost him, and just end up wishing that he could be deleted from the game, as even when I am the thane I still want to shout at the boy's mocking tone.

Well, not all of them, but I particularly hate members of the "royal family", if you get what I mean.

He has a very good reason for his attitude, but that would be a big, bad spoiler.

I got the servant-comment from his sister.

I know many find the children in the game annoying, but I must say I like most of them (and I would have loved to see some toddlers and maybe a couple of mothers (or fathers!) carrying their babies around). The kids of Dragonsreach are the exception to the rule. I really want to tell their parents a thing or two...

Well one of his kids at least has a reason, but that would be a spoiler.
I think there are console commands for removing people, if you find that interesting.
But yes I agree.

Dead?

(btw, who's the father of Lars Battle-Born? As far as I know the Battle-born household consists of the head of the family (Olfrid or whatshisname), his wife, their grown children (Idolaf, Jon and Lars' mother who I confuse with the Gray-mane girl all the time), and little Lars. Sure, his father could be dead, but if you ask him what a kid do for fun in Whiterun, he explains that he no longer climbs the roof of Dragonsreach because his father keeps catching him. Sorry, a little off topic...)

They made all the kids @ssholes because you can't kill them. I wish I could kill them all then ravage the women of Skyrim to make a land of dragonblood bad@sses.

Really, only a few of the kids are brats. Most of them are in Whiterun. Which is unfortunate as that is the town where we tend to interact with kids first. Most of the kids I have met have been nice or at least not brats.

Which tells me that Parenting in Whiterun leaves much to be desired.
