The Killing Blows - Animations

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 9:52 am

I recently noticed that the newest update added killing blows(animations) for magic as well. Personally, they look fairly silly. My character was just blasting fire at a target roasting it in slow motion. Nothing special really....

I had expected something more... professional made? If I had been using an axe for example, the head would have been flying across the map with blood and brain pieces flying around. This alone makes magic killing blow animations look cheap. They put so much effort into melee and abandoned magic completely?!

Also, I have a few tips for what the fire could cause to the victim:

- Victim could turn black. The massive hot flame would make the victim turn black due to how hot it is. Like when a chicken is cooked for too long.

- The fire could ''push'' the target a few meters away in a ''flying animation'' if you catch my meaning.

- The target would melt to a wet substance making him collectable for further use in alchemy(potions and whatnot).

And so on....

Feel free to share your frustrations/thougts and/or tips with us.

Benedetto.

Well they shouldn't do anything that messes with the body, they may need those for zombies after the fact, but I get your point that the magic killcams aren't quite as fancy. I wouldn't mind something a bit more unique in that department.

The arrow kill moves are awesome but, the slow motion animation messes with something, ending with my arrow missing the targets...
