My question is should the people who burglarized the home been arrested anyways instead of being let go?

Yes. Everyone involved should have been arrested and charged for their applicable crimes.

So they broke into some guy's house to steal... Blank CDs to burn music to? :confused:

I do think they should've been arrested. Stealing from a criminal is still stealing. Turning yourself in order to report the criminal doesn't mean make up for your own crime. They can reduce the punishment because they turned themselves in, but to just let them off the hook completely?
