The Necronomicon Card Game (flash)

Post » Thu May 26, 2011 11:19 pm

Delighted to say that I now have a fully working deck editor and deck saving feature - I won't be adding it to this game though, I'll add it to the sequel.More cards (and card types) and more balanced gameplay - and possibily a more game phase structure (upkeep, attack phase, etc.)And multiplayer...well, that would be nice, but is really very difficult.

Your game has also attracted attention from the http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=40406.It is described as "fun, but gets boring soon". They've also said that more cards and making decks would make it a lot better, so I'm guessing your sequel has odds of coming pretty popular there too.On my behalf, thanks a dozen for the offline version. With my bloody net getting cut every here and now, that's a lifesaver :)

The 'multiplayer' I've been doing is playing with a friend playing another copy of it and seeing who can climb the ranks faster.

I admit, before i didn't really play the game, i just played AT it. But i had alittle bit of time today to REALLY get into it and it REALLY is addictive. I love it. :cthulhu:Still seem to have trouble downloading though. Is there supposed to be a blank screen after a succesful download?

The version I played is called Necronomicon 2.0 - I can only assume that this version is the successor to the game that some of you played.

I think the downloadable version is 2.0. There are several differences: the original had different art. Also, your taint was not added to be "taint" cards - instead, it was merely "set". So if you had taint 1 and someone used a card on you that had taint 2, your taint would become 2 (rather than 1+2=3). I prefer this version.

Yep, version 2.0 came about due to the huge amount of changes and updates to the art.I called the Newgrounds version 2.0 because of poor ratings on the stripped-art version. I wanted the game to have a better chance based on all the post-release work done on it, so after updating it I submitted it again to Newgrounds as 2.0.I'm still working on the true sequel.

This game is so addicting, i find mysself playing it over and over again from time to time. I even managed to beat the whole game (and the challenges) in one run without dying once. When is this next version coming out?I'm in need of a fix! :D
