THE NEGATIVES ABOUT BRINK

Post » Fri Jul 01, 2011 12:00 pm

I want to start off by saying i love the game but if these negatives get fixed then this game could be in run for GAME OF THE YEAR. First problem i notice is that i see lag in this game more than i see in most other games. Second, I no you guys are raising the highest level cap to 24 but as of right now i have 3 guys that have been at 20 for some good time and have a fourth that is close i just think you cap out way to quick.Third, Is the challenges, to get all the guns and attachments if your good you can get everything in 40 minutes, to me getting a new gun or attachment is a big deal that should be harder or more spread out some how, for example you should have to atleast unlock the challenges as you level up to make things more difficult as you go.Fourth and probably the biggest thing that needs attention first is there is no game lobby so you can see whos playing and to make the team evenly matched up, I cant tell you enough about all the times that a match would start and there would be 2 guys on my team and like 6 or 7 on the other or vice versa.Fifth, game modes, it would be nice to see some more modes then just campaign and freeplay i was reading about a mode that i saw in the forums that i think would be so awesome , you have one team that is in a fortress and trying to save it and the objective would be for the other team to capture the fortress with all means.Last, i just dont get why the campaign is exactly like freeplay, i mean other people can join in on your campaign or you can invite people thats just weird and it seems like there wasnt alot of thought that went into that. But i do like your game and cant wait for the free DLC and i think that was a smart move on your half to do that. i hope to see some of these changes i think it would be very wise on your and the players end

If you highlight the scoreboard you can see all the players. I think the best way to balance teams would be to remove the team switching ability. It's really sad watching people constantly jumping between winning and losing teams.

The only one complaint I've had about the whole game is the lack of an EXIT command from the main menu on the X-Box 360 version. You have to mash the big X button on your controller and push the yellow Y button to force the game to close and get back to the Dashboard.

Other than that I am absolutely in love with this game.

Only other gripe is that the admins here in the boards found my name cUnNiNg_StUnTs to be offensive and blocked me from posting under that account but provide no means for changing the name in my profile settings. So now I am logging in with the new name tied to my Facebook account....GRRRR!

what other games have this ability? Only time I have seen this is on Demos . . .

The difference between campaign and free play is on campaign you get the story and go through the levels in order, you don't pregress unless you are on the winning side. Free Play has a Vote Next Map option at the end of each round.
Also for some reason the Stats site doesn't track your stats on campaign, only free play, what a jip!!

As for the unlocks, they can't really change that now, would be seen as "unfair" to newer players making it more difficult to opbtain items the rest of us got so easily, also lets say a level 10 has unlocked everything, they could't take something off that character that they have already unlocked just because they changed the rules.

On the topic of lobbies, I'd be happy to just have a place whre I can group my friends together before we start and we all join the same game at the same time (BC2 Style), the perfect way would be the same as Halo or CoD party/lobby system.
