Everything looks nice and sleek

Downside - Why are my stars not shiny gold, and the font soooo tiny
Its actually hurting my head trying to read, will lay off this for a few hours.

I noticed the new layout kind of messed with my avatar

Transparency = no. When I'm in a post I can see the tough nord dude, and it hurts my eyes.

Which I hope is up soon. This site is very painful on a small screen.

I noticed that the banner at the top, which although used to, no longer follows as you scroll down the page.
Quite annoying.

Although certain links really improve navigation.
The 'back to top' links on every post is awesome. As is the 'read first unread post' at the top of the thread are really cool.

I dislike how the avatars are forcibly a lot smaller and more square now.

I created a stylesheet that fixes both those things a while ago, I'll have to get my laptop to find it but I'll let you know when I do.

Why does Beth feel the need to change the forum skins every few months? I was finally used to the last one and now they've gotta spring another one on us. Security and feature updates are fine, but can't they just make things compatible with the older skins?

The smiley thingy works better than before.

Could they make the font any smaller? Do the programmers all have sidejobs as optometrists?

Looks pretty good.

There's one thing that I really really think should be added though. In the text editor where you... write anything, there are tags/snippets/insert image and such. There really should be a spoiler tag there. It's such an important thing.

I did like the "members viewing this topic/forum" thing. Bit sad that's gone.

Aha, awesome. I was wondering how long it would be before people started changing it to suit their needs. So cheers for this!

Quoting is much easier now . Also you can add in posts that have been made while you're typing which is cool.

I think I hate it, not only had i grown accustomed to the old skin but now it reset the number of posts per page for me.
I used to have 40 posts each page, now it's reverted back to 20 posts.
Trying to find where I can change this setting but it seems like the "forum settings" is gone.

Then that type mark thingie which shows where you type is at the ¤.

It's really [censored] annoying.

Also, when I used "arrow key down" then the type mark thingie doesn't go to the end of the text anymore, it goes to whereever it was placed previously.

I've been on for 5 minutes and only seen problems.

(Oh and the new 'smiley bar' svcks too. Is there anything positive about this new forum update?)
((And just as I made 'anything' cursive I noticed that they removed [i] too? *sigh* This forum is horrible now... Whoever's idea it was to update the forum with this crap should be fired, I'm dead serious, this would be like an animation artist knowingly made every NPC spaz out every 10 seconds.))

[censored] this forum update, I'm changing the size of my post to 14 forever until the next forum update. (Where the hell are the old letter sizes!?!?!?!)

only things i don't like so far are:

1) browsing the next page of threads can only be done one at a time by pressing "next" instead of being able to skip to 2 and go to 3 and so on. i don't like this because some times i know that a thread i keep track on has not had any activity for tha past couple of days and know at the least it will not be on page 2 but probably on page 3 or 4

2) for some reason the inbox selection of notifications and conversations does not let you select them individually to delete. but it seems like the changes were JUST done so its probably a bug they are going to fix.

also regarding the removal of join dates, that does not come as a surprise. there has been alot of "classism" regarding vetran status on the forums, in kind, alot of the older members have been generalizing newer members.

regardless if they deserve that generalization, it doesn't come as a surprise.

The forum looks good. I'm however very dissapointed that we no longer can see "members viewing topics/writing in topic" anymore..

I don't like it. I am sure I will get used to it but for now I don't like it. Avatars are also screwed up. Hopefully that gets fixed.

Looks better than before, let's hope it's got some added functionality. Will take some time to test, but so far looks stream lined. Like the new google gmail which is stream lined so much 99% of the necessary buttons are hidden in obscure tabs, folders, and areas I would have never guessed. I pray it isn't the same, but initial impression is good. The messenger button takes you right there now, no more stupid fiddling around.

Well, I guess that explains why http://beta.www.gamesas.com no longer works

(When I saw the forums were down I checked that and saw they took it offline and was thrilled when I realized that meant the new skin would be enabled)
