Do the new vampires look..... familiar

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 1:06 am

The model and animations look kind of familiar.

As im sure EVERYONE knows, the werewolf / deathclaw model and animation share almost EVERYTHING with the deadroth from oblivion.

And to me the new vampire looks alot like the imp from oblivion

EDIT: Also the vampire that explodes into bats in the trailer loots alot like the skyrim spriggan. you know, when it dies and the tree... magic...whatever flys out of it?

That is pretty interesting, i'd never noticed the similarities between those animations. =D the new vampire looks very van helsing Dracula to me.

i dont think its bad in the slightest, but i can see some people getting mad over it.

yup.

in skyrim, you can play as a deathclaw =p. thats how i look at it. companions are a guild full of deathclaws.

i wonder who would win if a daedroth, deathclaw, and werewolf got into a fight.....

Either way I'm glad they chose a new appearance for the vampires, I was getting a bit tired of just the ugly faces, seems as though they're going with the look of how a legend of vampires would have been told, undead demons of the like. I may actually want to become a vampire in this DLC now, looks pretty exciting (:

I just fought the deathclaws in Lonesome Road... never dismantled anyone as a werewolf in Skyrim as fast as those bastards can kill my little Courier.

Nothing a half ton of C4 and satchel charges can't take care of, naturally...

Animation wise yes, but to me they look like slightly bigger vampire children from the Van Helsing movie.

pfft. C4. i used a riot shotgun, perks and a bus (which scared me to death when i found out they could go into) to handle my deathjaw problem

Not like Imps from Oblivion isn't a very common picture of every second demon out there, and almost every gargoyle picture on the ineternet. :P If we're going that route, Imp/Vampire looks like a downscaled Pit Lord without a weapon from Diablo 2. :D

Those models may be the same, but the skins on the models are different enough that I would have never noticed had you not told me.

Bethesda did a great job, it's beautiful work.

I still find it distressing and sad that the expansion is about big flying big-tooth leeches, though. I soooooooooooo don't care about the bloodsvckers............

Gimme a dwemer invasion from depths beneath blackreach, driving slavering hordes of falmer slaves before them - or give me a new war with the Thalmor, with lots of assassination and intelligence gathering missions, in addition to the opportunity of killing lots of those blonde haired elven versions of aryan supremacists.

But VAMPIRES?

OMG. Blech.

I'm waiting til it's released. If I find out that the vampirism is very difficult to cure, I'm not buying the expansion. That ruined Oblivion for me.
