I can't be the only one who has accumulated a TON of money by now, any one else wish they could do something with all this gold?

I mean maybe a castle that has an upkeep cost or something just throwing out ideas.

There is no economy, so there's no value to your gold. No one really needs it, because not one character living in Skyrim ever purchaces anything. Bandits seem to carry a few coins on them for no readily apparent reason. There seems to be some ritual about burying the dead with some nearby. But it's really useless stuff. Good thing it doesn't weigh anything.

All Beth's games (that i've played) suffer from this problem,and it is often said. Strange they didn't do anything about it

Usually i get mods that add expensive items.

I think all Beth RPG's end up with money being endless.

In each of their TES and fallout games, I've ended up with so much money that I could swim in it, and lack of it will never again be an issue...but it doesn't stop me from generating more. I'm seriously considering going down the speech tree to boost my capabilities, even though leveling at the higher end is sooooo slow.

Personally, I would like to see something like a more developed economy and/or gambling introduced. I think even a simple system similar to Mount and Blade's investment system would be good....some of us are just greedy guts's

I've said on other topics that i'd love to see the dragonborn become a jarl or have his own village with castle and the works, I just think it would reflect his/her status better........ maybe make the dragonborn jarl of somewhere like winterhold and you can rebuild it to its former glory cause the place has seen better days

As I have said, I want a castle, I dont care if its stand alone, or part of a dlc/expansion(if they do that, make it easy to get to though).
As dragonborn,I want a cool fortress that fits my godlike status.

But, relating that to the topic, I agree. I have a huge fortune, and I have nothing to spend it on(Im not realy lvling up much any more in my main file, so I dont realy need training).I want a huge home that I can dump all my money into. The upgrades should be expensive, starting at at least 10,000 a piece, and there should be a lot of them.Then I could get rid of some of this extra coin Ive got in my riften shack.

I bought a house in every town and fully upgraded all of them, then almost entirely stopped looting. In the end, I still have too much gold.

yh. like rebuilding up Winterhold into a decent city again. with a stone built keep, more houses and new shops and a much better economy.

i wish store owners had more cash. tough to get rid of stuff, when you can only sel lthem 1 or 2 items.

i can spend 8K at a store, come back and they have 1K.

Yes a castle with upkeep/guards to pay.

Rebuilding Helgan or Winterhold would be cool.

Upgrade your speech all the way and they will have more money.

Training usually takes care of my spare cash. But I suppose I'm only level 41.

Yes as long as you spend perks into it too. Also the act of raising speech by buying and selling consumes a fair chunk of cash as well.

Not sure about the ongoing upkeep.

If they do a castle, I'd like it to be a centre of one of the less significant town or city rather than a castle just placed randomly out in the wilderness. Perhaps we could be made Jarl by the Imperials / Stormcloaks out of honour to our service for them

Blacksmithing will run you dry fairly quickly if you buy the mats from the vender too.
